You can export the Excel data to a comma delimited (.csv) file that can be imported by Outlook fairly easily.

Check this link, it has exactly what you're looking for and obviously it's free.

http://www.csus.edu/saclink/email/importaddresses.stm

Good luck, not that you'll need it. It's like 3 steps. Just make sure you have a backup of the Excel file, -just in case-.

This is the anniversary for the Exchange Place - WTC tunnels. The centennial for the Newport/Hoboken - Christopher tunnels already happened last year. You may have noticed the advertisements on the trains showing old images of the PATH system when it was still the H&MRR recently.

Oh, that's a good reason. Don't I look stupid for asking.

Thank God the police aren't out there looking for a guy with a gun.

Too shaken up to call the pigs, but not shaken up enough that he can't call up his buddies? Either something stinks or you kids are idiots.

There's an elevator at the 9th street stop. Otherwise you have to walk allllllllllll the way down the viaduct, which you don't want to do. The distance to the elevator is not that far from the top of the hill above the 2nd street (not avenue) stop.

The area is safer since that shady liquor store closed, but it's a lot harder to get a 40 and a bottle of jack at 3 am. Give-and-take, I suppose.

Shep,

They're extending the light rail to 8th street for now. An extension to SI depends entirely on the plans for the future of the Bayonne Bridge. The arch is too low for many container ships, and could kill Port Newark / Elizabeth in the future as container ships get larger and larger. Current proposals include replacement or an actual lifting of the bridge. For now, interstate bus service serving the 8th street station will be the MO.

And you are correct. Bisections by rail are rarely instantly fatal. Sometimes the sheer amount of pressure is enough to seal/cauterize the wound as soon as it is inflicted. Happened to a suicidal worker in Hoboken a few years back, happened to a freight hopper off st pauls as well. Told the family it was instant and painless, but that was a lie.

Oh, here we go.. tell me this: what the F was he doing in a railroad tunnel? If it was suicide, he had no respect for himself. If it was an accident, then he's an idiot because there's a track shelf in that tunnel.

The PA wants to introduce full-body image scanning into your daily commute and you guys are talking about RATS IN THE SUBWAY?

Do any of you realize that millimeter wave scanning essentially shows the device operator your naked body? Why is the Port Authority treating the PATH system like it's in the middle of a warzone?

-----------------

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=90160599
This past week, the Transportation Security Administration introduced new security measures at Baltimore-Washington International Airport, including a controversial "whole-body scanner." The scanner provides guards with an image that strips away a traveler's clothing, revealing everything that person is carrying ? and their naked bodies. TSA spokesperson Christopher White shows Andrea Seabrook how it works.

-------------------

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millimeter_wave_scanner
Clothing and other organic materials are translucent in some extremely high frequency (millimeter wave) radio frequency bands.

-------------------

http://aftermathnews.wordpress.com/20 ... -to-observe-naked-bodies/
More airports using virtual strip-search machines to observe naked bodies - "Officers reviewing the images don?t interact with passengers, or even see them. They sit in a separate area, look at the pictures on a monitor and push a button to either clear travellers or alert security about a suspicious item." (I personally don't see how this would work in a PATH station..)

It would be a shame if someone painted it black in the middle of the night.

Take a picture of your car parked there, clearly showing that there are no signs saying not to, just in case.

You guys grew up here and don't know how close the city is? Sheesh. Maybe if you put half as much energy into teaching the local kids about the PATH train (that we were taking at 14 to get beer in the village while we were not even "from here") as you put into posting multiple threads about how you can't seem to get anything done on your own and think that we care, you might have something.

Real Advice:

- Find out if local rehearsal studios will allow a hosted show, if their insurance / fire capacity allows it. Pearl might be able to help. The wallpaper factory, maybe not. Not sure if they're even legal.

- Are there any VFW's or American Legions around here? I'm not even sure. There's a Knights of Columbus on St. Pauls Ave. Talk to them. Those guys are always looking for cash.

- Basements, as eggs mentioned. I've been to a few basement shows in the area over the past few years. They DO happen. Sometimes with basement shows though, the sketchier the neighborhood, the better. You wouldn't believe what bands I saw in someone's kitchen in Brownsville.

I know you're only worried about not how things were, but how things are going to be, which is cool, but I have to say it would be nice to see a return to the days when punks were punks and every band had at least one member or friend who knew how to tap into streetlamps for free electricity and run an extension cord into an abandoned house or factory and have, at least for an hour or two, an honest to god hole in the wall punk club.

Anyway, good luck.

They were grandfathered in specifically because of the hookah business.

Doesn't matter what the percentage of the profit is.

Point is, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT.

There are plenty of other bars in town where you can enjoy a smokeless bar, but only one where we smokers can enjoy a cigarette inside.

Accounting for current construction and NOT accounting the dead dead-end turnaround spots like the walkway along the Hyatt and that other one north of it, 1.73 miles.

Um... isn't it perfectly legal to go through someone's garbage?

Do you really think people working at the garbage sorting facility can't go through your stuff if they want to?

Anyway.. everyone should have a shredder. Why would you think it's ok to put bank statements in a bag but not taped up to your front door? Same thing.. anyone can get to it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 1988 Case of California vs. Greenwood (http://www.answers.com/topic/california-v-greenwood?cat=biz-fin) held that there is no common law expectation of privacy for discarded materials. Specifically, this case involved a Laguna Beach Police investigation in which evidence of drug use was obtained from curbside refuse bins. In that decision, the Supreme Court reached the decision that ?It is common knowledge that plastic garbage bags left on or at the side of a public street are readily accessible to animals, children, scavengers, snoops, and other members of the public? (California v. Greenwood, 486 U.S. 35, 39 (1988))

Currently, five States have upheld this Supreme Court decision:

* California. People v. Krivda, 486 P.2d 1262 (Calif. 1971), vacated and remanded, 409 U.S. 33 (1972),
* reaff'd, 504 P.2d 457 (1973), cert. denied, 412 U.S. 919 (1973).
* Hawaii. State v. Tanaka, 701 P.2d 1274 (Haw. 1985).
* New Jersey. State v. Hempele, 576 A.2d 793 (N.J. 1990).
* Washington. State v. Boland, 800 P.2d 1112 (Wash. 1990).
* Vermont. State v. Morris, 680 A.2d 90 (Vt. 1996).
