Heres how we got Daisy back...
So a "volunteer" pressured AC to set 15 traps on Tuesday night around the area where they dumped her. Checks were made on the traps every 3-4 hours becuase of the extreamily cold weather. Daisy was caught at 6am and sent to the vet to make sure she didn't get in any fights while in the woods. Then she was returned to me at home.

What do you think happens to most of the cats taken the shelter?

I rescued Daisy from a shelter so I can only hope that they find loving warm homes. And we can't play god on who gets the chance or not, they should all be treated with equal amounts of love and respect.

Mama and Kitty Reunited!!
Thank you to EVERYONE and especially YOU who went to the park at 2am calling Daisy, the push and strength you gave behind Animal Control was incredable and I don't believe I would have Daisy back if it wasn't for YOU!!!!!

She lost a little weight around the ribs, stinks to high heaven of Mackrel, its purring more than ever and asleep in the place she belongs - at the foot of my bed!!!

A happy ending! Please understand that its not over for me. What happend is an outrage and needs not be swept under the rug. I am taking measures to ensure that ACO will be treated as the law says appropriate and Animals lost can find saftey at a shelter EVERYTIME!!

Thank you thank you thank you thank you 1000 times!!!!

THANK YOU to everyone who has reached out to express concern or offer support. I can only hope that this will not fade away, but shine a bright light on this system to make changes.

yeah I thought about that...thank you. They caught a cat with the traps that they set last night and are trying to tell me that a black and white cat with long fluffy hair is my short haired grey tabby. Unbelievable.

ANIMAL CONTROL dumps CATs/KiTTENS in Lincoln Park

Yesterday morning my neighbor called Animal Control because my cat sneaked into their house (she is an indoor cat and NEVER goes outside). Scared and frightened she was hissing as they locked her in the bathroom until ANIMAL control showed up. They put the cat into their van and drove to Lincoln Park...and dumped her.
No shelter, no chip scanning just a dumping.

When I contacted animal control to ask where my cat is, they said they don't pick up CATS ever, and they never found a cat...well my aunty who lives upstairs saw animal control take a small cage out of the neighbors house and drive off. (she didn't know the cat was missing). They continued to deny this until we told them we saw them...BUT still stood by the fact that they NEVER pick up cats. I managed to speak with the "officer" who dumped my cat and find the exact location - I called her name for 6 hours but still not found. Where they dropped her off is a dump site, thick with weeds and miles and miles long, dirty ponds of water and peoples junk everywhere.
Impossible to find a scared cat in.
It gets better...
After 3 hours of wondering around I went home to get the dog to "sniff" her out, my Boyfriend was up in a tree getting an arial view when ANOTHER animal control showed up again and dumped ANOTHER cat - he was clever and took out his iphone and took some photos and the number plate of the car.

They agreed to setting up some traps that night.

I find it totally outrageous that they are taking DOMESTIC cats and turning them into feral ones when they should be doing the OPPOSITE!!! Did they not read the rule book?
If any one is as concerned as I am, please contact me. This is disgraceful and something has to change.
Animal Control will LIE what their responsibilities are and even the actions they took to cover their own asses.....bottom line...they just don't CARE.
