SOOOOOOOO GLAD I didn't move my car today!!!! Parking is already crazy and it isn't even 6pm. I guess the threat of rain isn't keeping anyone away.

To my knowledge, construction usually starts as early as 7am. President's day is not the Fourth of July.

well they started work on New Year's Day at 7am as well. There should be some kind of law that on holidays and weekends they should can't start till 8am. I can tell you that when these new neighbors move in they are not going to be very welcome--people on this street are pissed. The workers are throwing their trash everywhere and they keep taking up parking spots with their dumpsters. And working early and working as late as 10pm at night. Oh, and I just love when they change out the port a potty at 4am (very loud trucks pick them up and change them for a new one) at least the workers aren't pissing and crapping all over the street

I live on a block (as I am sure many of you have a story) where a house is being renovated. They start work at 7am- even today when most people had off(and also do this on saturdays). Is there an offical time they are allowed to start with the jackhammers???

I noticed in the Lighthorse yesterday that someone had left sheets advertising their Sugar House unit (a 1609 sqft condo with views of the Statue) for 1.75million, which is about $1089 per sqft. Sounds like a lot, however the last to sell was a corner unit facing Essex (with basically no views), ~1800 sqft for 1.36million. i guess brownstones for 2million will soon be old news. can anyone confirm the 3million condo rumor?

Is it the penthouse. I knew the owners of that place -the wife is a real estate agent and used to own the the candle shop next to Presto's on Warren. And the husband worked Deutche bank and made a killing.

The corner brownstone -no sure about the price. I thought it had 3 apartments that can be rented out? I walk by there everyday-- I would not want to live on the corner-- too much traffic and noise.

Since this is almost a wish list for what people would like a coffee house to be I figured I would add mine - I would love to see some restuarants and coffee places that do not permit cell phone usage inside.

I'm so sick of hearing people's personal conversations on their cell phones!!!

AGREE!!!! No cell phones --

I heard some places in NYC banned them and even built the old fashion style phone booths (without the pay phone) for cell phone users to have their conversations

Hey Hey Hey;
This topic is about Legal Grounds, NOT play grounds, this particular place is way to small to accomidate kids, pets, and even most adults.

Did anyone hear that they have a kewl coffee roaster and a expresso machine that is smokin?

Not forgetting -- could careless if kids, dogs, cats, bird or anyother kind of animal are there.

I was curious about a wireless connection --So I can sit and drink a coffee of my choice and have a snack and work on my laptop and enjoy the aroma of the coffee they are brewing.

Nothing wrong with a place for pets. Isn't there a place in Hamilton Park area that keeps dog bowls outside the door?

Does anyone know if this place has wireless connections? S

Both places are right around the corner from me --but the Daily Grind is right across the street from ex-boyfriend --have a feeling that I would more comfortable in the new place
