They usually set up around 5:30 or so and stay there past midnight. I think the only day they are definitely not there is Monday but then you get the farmers' market so it's a win either way :)

I know this was a part of the long-running Taqueria discussion before but believe it deserves its own thread.

Earlier I tried the third of the four offerings at the cart outside the Path and they have all been amazing. I told the co-owners, Alex and Aaron (spelling may be wrong) that they were getting good pub on JClist and they both were excited. Good people making really good food that you cant get anywhere else than JC....gotta support it.

I love Taqueria for sure, and won't put down one to hype the other; nothing wrong with supporting two places that are making good food and really are not in direct competition with one another.

Give it a try if you haven't yet, the hot sauce is unreal and they are making everything by hand at home till they get enough clientele to open a place up.

Last thing..found out tonight that Aaron is becoming a first time father tomorrow so congrats man :)

"Lopez, who declined to say who he worked for, said he thought it would take two or three years for a recovery."

What is this going to do to the housing sales for downtown jc that are always listed, the development of the neighborhood as a whole, and the general optimism of the immediate future for DJC that seems to be a common thread for this forum?

Certainly not downplaying the job loss for those effected by today's events; just acknowledging the fact that the finance industry investing here has been a big engine driving a lot of the growth and concerned that this may be at the least a temporary "road closed for further repairs" sign that may not be fixed that quick.

Went to Dorrian's in Newport yesterday to watch the games and all was good until the 1pm game ended and the Jets game started. They have the ticket, cool bartenders, and not bad food so thought it would be a good spot despite all the Redskins fans. :)

I am not a Jet fan but was with a friend who is; and as a football fan their game against the Patriots yesterday was pretty big.

Unfortunately the moment the game started so did the jukebox with country music at full blast where only two minutes ago we had the commentary. Now if the place advertised itself as affiliated with a certain team and they had already played that's one thing...but if you order the ticket and have all games then you are positioning yourself as a place to watch football all Sunday.

We asked for the sound to be turned back on but got nowhere so called it a day and watched the rest of the game at home. I like sitting outside there but would not recommend it as a "Sports Bar".
