Saturday, May 10th, is the annual food drive sponsored by the NALC. In order to participate, all you need to do is leave food in a bag or box, near your mailbox. Your Letter Carrier will do the rest. All residents of Jersey City should have received a post card in the mail, promoting this annual event. If you have your card, leave it along with the food. Please, no glass, or expired food. This is the largest one day food drive in the nation, and is run by USPS Letter Carriers. All food collected in Jersey City stays in Jersey City, and will be distributed to local food banks.
