I am glad you asked this question Villager. Indeed this is definately bringing it back to the subject.

WHY Aggravated Assault and Not Attempted murder. Just in case you all care to know this Male whose name appeared on the Newspaper is a criminal who is on Lifetime Parole. How is it that he can post bail? How good is our system? Yes, I looked him up on NJ Dept. of Corrections. He's been in and out of trouble with the law since his early ages!!! This is something of major concern yet we're here concerned about the reputation of two bars that are none profit to us!!!

Chips: Make them Doritos, Please!!!! Am I being Sarcastic, YES I AM!

AND like YOU stated, ?there are many sides to every actually plausible story? SO can you really justify why the man asked a young Hispanic male the Question about Led Zeppelin and then stared at him the entire night at the LAMP POST?!!! Absolutely NOT, BECAUSE you are not him!!! (Or maybe the Hispanic male had a Booger or perhaps a ZIT, right?)! Nevertheless ?thetruth? who says asked the gentleman why he asked him if he knew who sang that song said the man said, ?Oh Nothing??SO who are you to TRY to justify it for him!

And if you are reading previous messages, You will see how some people describe how uncomfortable they ?Felt? at the Latin Lounge, where is your Critic about the dog crap that doest mix with the gravel at when they complained??? Yet and young Hispanic wants describe how uncomfortable he felt at the Lamp Post, and OH NO, it?s the Lamp Post, Never that!!!! Com? on!

Very true statement also written by you: ?paranoia is a destroyer??Can I say this goes for us ALL!!! And not for a specific race, color or gender? NOW I SAY AND YOU MAY QUOTE ME: Play a fare game or don?t Play at all!!!

i dont know what sort of chips you like to perch on your shoulder, but there are many sides to every actually plausable story.
if you feel like everyone is going to look at you sideways for whatever reason, whether its your race, your gender, your sexual orientation, because you have a giant zit on your face or because you have a redonkulous booger in your nose, then guess what--THEY WILL!

paranoia is a destroyer.

the real issue is when is that part of the sidewalk going to get paved so that dog crap doesnt get mixed in with the gravel??

ANother thing: If any one of you walk into Latin Lounge and sing a spanish song, and get asked by any particular person of Latin Lounge, the same question about The Artisit singing the song, I am more then sure the next morning, if not soon after you walk out of Latin Lounge, YOu would be posting how bad and uncomfortable you felt. Especially if you were stared down because you know the song!?! But of course it happened at the Lamp Post... Maybe "TheTruth" looked young and that is the reason they stared at him or maybe they happen to be playing Trivia and asked him a Pop up Question...HAHAHAHA!!! Sorry I had to Laugh!!!

It is sooooo Funny and Upsetting how when it is Latin Lounge and "Yuppy" feels uncomfortable, it's some type of racist bias etc. but when it is a hispanic feeling uncomfortable at Lamp Post, there are 101 excuses to it!Trivia Question!??? YEAH!!! Let's justify that one again! Is this article about a man who got struck ny an SUV or about how you Yuppy's feel uncomfortable at Latin Lounge...

I drove by both bars on Friday (2/29/08) only to see a group of people smoking and talking very loud outside of Lamp Post ... Only a Bouncer standing outside of Latin Lounge...Not a big deal, right? Why, because it's the Lamp Post!!! Let it be Latin Lounge and that would've been a big deal!!! You all would've been postin all you negative remarks on here!

Just like you, I AM A WOMAN and I respect your opinion just like I expect you to respect mine. YOU make absolutely No sense to me!

Look at how you bring up some unwanted info about how someone was whistling at you while you walked by Latin Lounge...Isn't this entire discussion about safety? Where are you coming from with that?

I walk in the mall get whistled at? Should we close the down the Mall too? Next time you decide to come at me, Make sure you come at me with Legitimate Information!

Post your opinion about this: About how our system "GOOD" our system is!?! How can a man get charged with aggravated assault when he used his YUKON ( A LARGE SPORT UTILITY VEHICLE) to try and kill someone!

Quote:

Robert "Chino" Cosme, 29, of 68th Street in Guttenberg, was charged yesterday morning with aggravated assault after he surrendered to police at his lawyer's office in Jersey City.

You are all going beside the point that there are victims in this case...The entire argument here is that people have their own opinion about Latin Lounge and the Lamp Post!?

Why is it Important to anyone of you If I am Bren12 or Wow08...Trust me, No need to log in twice as a different individual....Like Webmaster stated, CORPORATE ACCOUNT, meaning; I HAVE WORK TO DO!!! Therefore, I do not have the time to log on as two individuals!!! I am NOT Bren12! I just wanted my opinion to be heard!

As this happened to Latin Lounge, IT can happen to any other BAR!!! Should we penalize the BAR because of an insane individual?Did we ever put thought to the fact the Bar?s owners and their staffs are also victims in this case?

PEPO, have you ever heard of a TYPO??? How old are you 10???Pin pointing typographical errors!

sullyX: No sweety, I am not the owner nor the manager of Latin Lounge. I am someone who like you with The Lamp Post know the entire staff at Latin Lounge and I can honestly say that the owners along with their staff are loving and caring individuals who will do anything in their power to control situations such as the one that occured!

Could it have been prevented, it would've!

ROBC Fact #3: They told me they came out of the Latin Lounge after 3am

If that is so a fact: Were the people walking out of Latin Lounge workers or regular customers?? Did your Eye witnesses provide you with that information?

According to your sources, Did the "Maniac" walk out of Latin Lounge?

This could happen to any Bar!!! Blame it on the Night Life, On the Alcohol, on the people that can't handle their liquor but it is not fair to point fingers at just one place because they were victims of someone who didn't know how to handle his liquor...LIQOUR that he probably consumed at another BAR!

ROBC: These can never be YOUR fact because you were not there at the time of the incident... You are simply going with the HE said, SHE said!!!! If it is safe to say that Latin Lounge should be close, then CLOSE THEM ALL!

One Fact is that Before Latin Lounge was Latin Lounge it was Rivera's and it was more or less the same environment!! TRUE FACTS.

There are a lot of opinions but where are the facts?

In an incident where a loved one is hit and laying on the middle of the street gasping for air and with blood gushing out of his head and a ?Maniac? hitting reverse and speeding forward with his YUKON (a large sport utility vehicle) aiming to hit your loved one again and again, In my righteous opinion your main concern would be trying to move his semi-conscious body from the middle of the street so that the ?Maniac? won?t hit him again. Do you try to save your loved one from being hit by the vehicle repeatedly or do you take the time to try and get the ?Maniac?s? license plate not knowing what his next action may be? When things like this occur we all tend to take a different approach then the one we normally think we would take.

Do you all know exactly the procedures taken by the owners of Latin Lounge and Lampost once their customers are all gone?Do they clean the Bar? Pay their employees? Count their earnings? Or perhaps, Do they exit through a back door or do they exit through the same door used by their customers? If they use the same exit as their customers, more then likely there will be a group of five or more (They?re called Employees) coming out from the bar after the scheduled close time. Does that mean the Bar is open to customers? No! Let?s be realistic adults!!

My understanding is that the Bar was being closed at the time the ?Maniac? approached... The Bouncer explained to him that the Bar was closed and asked him to please proceed on to his car and leave. Whatever happened after that, do we blame it on the Bar or the ?Maniac? who was either extremely intoxicated or who knows what influence he was under when he got to the front of the Bar?If the bar is scheduled to close at 3:00am and police arrived at 3:35am and the bar was already locked, that clearly states that the BAR was CLOSED on TIME!!

Our main concern should be getting this ?Maniac? out of the street rather then pointing fingers at these Bars/Lounges. The same way it happened outside of these Lounges, it can happen anywhere!!
