Oky keeping Downtown Jersey City, Newport, Journal Square, Odgen Ave, Hamilton Park, Lincoln Park, Heights...in mind (which I see from the replies are good areas), can I get a 1BR/Studio with parking and onsite laundary for around $1000 - $1200?

I excluded Hoboken seeing its terribly expensive.

I am a 28 yr old single male, no pets with a 9 to 6 job in NYC.

Thanks everyone. I actually have no idea about the area. I will search through the forum for further insights.

Thanks again.

Hi,

I am moving to Jersey City around March end. Wanted to know what are the good areas to live in Jersey City.

The things I expect are safe parking space and decent rents in a safe neighbourhood.

Any pointers welcome?

Thanks.
