Can anyone recommend a good market in JC where I can get sour cherries in a jar?

Thank you!

About the Newport Mall...is it one of those threading vendors that is out in the middle of the mall or is it in an actual store?

Does anyone know of any spots to get your eyebrows threaded in downtown jc? I really don't want to hoof it to the city to get mine done and the place in Hoboken is overpriced.

TIA!

Did something happen? There were TONS of cop cars and flashing lights around 2 - 3 AM last night.

The dearth of satisfactory daycare centers in downtown JC is astounding. If River School is the best that JC has to offer that's really sad. It's an overpriced, institutionalized nightmare. We took a tour and it smelled and seemed a bit off in general. The staff seemed friendly enough, but after seeing their infant area I knew I wouldn't leave my child there. For the price they charge you'd think they'd be offering a premium service, but it's nothing more than a kiddie mill.

Is there no place in JC that is worthwhile that won't charge more than 1K (for 3 days/week) to take care of an infant?

Where has the chivalry gone?

And actually, women offer their seats more often then men do, particularly older women, which goes to show you just how rude men are.

Honestly any dude that complains here about my statement is probably guilty.

Don't get me wrong, I can stand just as well as anyone else, but when the train is crowded it makes it unsafe to stand and there are other factors that are dangerous such as the trains jerky movements and the constant urge to pee. If you see a woman/child standing in front of you who needs a seat you should offer it.

I'm annoyed by men who don't think it's necessary to give up their seat for a pregnant woman, especially when one is standing right in front of them. It's so incredibly rude. I've noticed that only Asian men are quick to offer their seats, but everyone else pretends they don't notice/care.

I liked Nha Trang for a second, but now I can't stand it. The food is cut rate and filled with MSG, including the Pho. I've had way better Pho in the city.

I love Saigon Cafe, A) they deliver and B) their pork and vermicelli noodles is yummy. Some of their soups, like the asian noodle soup, are good, but their pho is pretty bland. Their Chinese style dishes are really tasty, but their chicken is a bit strange. Don't order chicken dishes!

Whole Foods?

It's about freaking time! Not that I don't just loooove driving to Edgewater to go to WF.

They are really picky about recyclables. They only pick up recyclables from my street on Thursdays and they will only pick them up if they are packaged properly. Such is life I suppose!

I always wondered why they came to pick up from my area at 1 AM. The noise is not that bad, but I agree that they should keep their collection times betwen 10 and 12.

It would also be lovely if they could put my trash can back in the upright position and not throw it somewhere so I find it laying sideways far from where I put it. :)

Has anyone been here? Yay or Nay? I'm looking for a place to get a uttapam with coconut chutney in JC and I have no clue where to go.

Any other South Indian recommendations in JC or surrounding areas?

What about all of those vacant lots near Washington and Warren? They could certainly build a multi level Whole Foods with parking. I'm not holding my breath on this one. I'll just have to keep trekking my WF groceries on the Path after work.

meh.
