Re: Jersey City mulls changes to pedestrian plaza to address rowdy bar-goers

A study of film history offers the solution. As seen in Roadhouse any late night bar a la the Double Deuce needs to hire its own team of coolers like Dalton to contain the problems...

Ahhhh hilarious!

The Lincoln Inn which is off central, actually has its own customer parking lot. Small but it does exist. Most of the people going there probably walk from one street over.

maybe... lightrail/shared street with cars (like paulus hook area) from jsq up the middle of jfk to congress then turn down congress to the elevator. Call it the JC Loop, part of the hudson bergen lightrail circling back to the liberty light rail station and new streetcar back to jsq?? stop every six streets on jfk? 24/7? Sign me up.
Usta be lightrail down central back in days wonder how it did.
Maybe make summit one way street going south from secaucus/5th street Union city border while you're at it?

As with beards and mustaches, shaving em is a total mistake.
Paint em school bus yellow......maybe if ya want put small yellow reflectors in the ground and people be gettin the slowness down picture, it's easy. Peeps can't be too distrackted from textin to look up at signs over past the parked cars on the sidewalk that tell ya hump 15......evil kaneeville!

One was installed up in the heights and about 30 cars a day case their engines flyin over... All neighbors hangin out placin bets and doubling over with laughter as cars, busses, dump trucks, taxis barrell down the block....I've seen lots of oil slicks following these humps, huge gouges from front ends hittin the street, hubcaps along the curb(what car has hubcaps nowadays!) and general air catchin as cars are launched! Just goes to show you people gun it down streets with no regards to their surroundings, just their destination. At least they ain't rumble strips. Y'all be complaining about the pictures fallin off the wall every time da cars roll by.... But really, I've seen cars doin at least 50mph down this block for years...

OR
"NUMBER 2!!!"

ahhh shoprite versus a&p....makes me wish for the INTERNATIONAL FOOD MART that used to be where target is....liquor store where you could buy like a pallet of beer in any flavor you wanted, as well as every ethnicity of food you could imagine...a little dirty but so is jersey city....anyway cant beat the freshness at shoprite crowded means high rotation of product. a&p i'd spend 250 bucks and half of it would go bad by the end of the week so i stopped going there.

I mean who dont love a city where there are 2 different pizzarias right next door to each other!! monmouth btwn 3rd-4th. either you stand in between the doors and say eennie meenie....or you go to one for a few years and decide to go to the other for a few. both serve greazy double sized slices for like 3 bucks, thats 1/2 a pie!!- great for sunday mornin comin down.....what else...JC has a freakin dedicated subway line to NYC!!!- quicker than livin in queens or brooklyn....also, you can own and park a car here (watch out for street cleaning which is more about tickets than actual cleaning- aint now way of scrubbin these streets- just push it around!!)....marco and pepe- great beers, decent food great place to bring out of towners, always hoppin, just dont walk in with more than 4 people....what ever happened to the lounge they had upstairs??....i think JC has the best drivers in the world, very well behaved and yeilding to pedestrians...we are in dire need of an f-in place for bands to play and people to listen, raw, like uncle joes usedta do....great to have a movie theater in the mall...best place to see cut em up bang stab em movies or horror movies- just watch out for the family havin dinner with the baby in the back rows, nothin you can do bout that, but sip on your cocktail...Lib State park- what a freakin place for a bike ride or a soccer game..or fishin (although if you are brave enough to eat anything you catch otta there you must take vitamins)...ramble ramble ramble...oh yeah where the hell di you take that pic of the hamburgular.. good thing he has a helmet on...although it might get stuck on his head after crammin that cow down....
