Obviously Unions serve a purpose but I completely agree that these guys are hired guns sent down there to intimidate the builders and their crews simply because the Union contractors did not get the job.

They are bully's we all know exactly what they are trying to do with their Rat and their mindless antics.

Unfortunately the parents will never learn and should have never been parents in the first place. Now, this leaves us to discipline their children and teach them right from wrong!

Move out with a "?" I think you meant to put an "!" exclamation point!! But I guess you would not know that if you have attended a Jersey City public high school!!

An exclamation mark, exclamation point, or bang (!) is a punctuation mark usually used after an interjection or exclamation to indicate strong feeling

And I'm staying!!

JC Boyz has it right, if its your kids that are joining the gangs and terrorizing the good people of JC, what are you doing on this day off to make things better?

The public high schools in JC suck and everyone knows it! If you are a parent of a student, what have you done this year to improve the situation?

Really, you want to band together and raise other peoples children! I work 3 jobs so my kid doesn't have to be exposed to those ANIMALS! How many jobs do their parents work, probably none since liberals like yourself like award people for their laziness!!! Singapore has it right, these criminals would be caned and locked up hard labor if they acted like this. Their parents would be questioned and possibly sterilized!

Someone earlier said that the kids should not be allowed off campus during school hours, that is the best idea that has come from this message board! I also had to stay on campus and we didn't mind at all. Sorry if Hollywood Chicken goes out of business but that is just life I guess!!!

Oh bull!!! Have a 40 and hang out all day while my tax dollars pay for your house! While your at it, rob the liquor store!!!

Before there was public housing in the neighborhood, it was a great place to live! Once public housing came in everything went down hill.

The culture of don't rat on your neighbor makes it virtually impossible for the police to do their job! So don't give me that crap and blame it on the police. The innocent people that live in the projects are just as guilty for not reporting the crimes!

FACT! Remove the projects and crime goes down. Oh yeah, I doubt the guy that robbed the liquor store lives in Grove Point, I would bet its more likely YOU KNOW WHERE!

Yes, the developer needs to build the steps and now but the everyone else should be on their knees blowing the developer for taking a crappy, rat infested warehouse and turning it into an amazing loft building.

We all know they are a bunch of animals! Where were the cops on this one. Obviously in this city a bunch of black guys hanging out on the water front at midnight are up to NO GOOD! Not be racist here but lets face the facts! I wasn't born yesterday and I sick of being politically correct. If a cop saw this, they should have at least checked it out! The old timer cops in this town need to go and we need to bring in some young militant types who will take these punks out once and for all!

Thrifty, if you think pre-construction auction prices are the same thing as market prices, you really need to get your head examined!!!

Auctions are nothing but bottom feeders. Expect the market for Saffron to be 10% to 20% higher than the pre construction offering.

Saffron will sell out, just like Ivy house did and Dixon Mills is slowly doing.

Remember, $250 per month maintenance fee is a lot better than $550 at Dixon and Gulls Cove.

20 percent of the building sold in the grand opening auction!!! That's great in this market!

The building looks great, the finishes are nicer than Dixon Mills and Crescent Court and anyone who thinks 475K is a lot for a two bedroom in Downtown JC should not be on a message board talking about real estate!

My wife and I are long time Jersey City Residents and new Canco residents. We considered all of our options before buying and Canco was by far the best option. We love lofts spaces and thats what we have. 14ft ceilings are hard to find anywhere, especially in a building with a doorman and amenities like Canco's. The Path is close and we are excited about the mayors plans for Journal Square. We just love it here...

Because the city's so called tax abatement is actually higher than if the building didn't have an abatement at all. If they want the developers to pay for the abatement or PILOT program, there should be some advantage for the home owner.

Do a little research please!!!! Bunch of freakin morons on this site.

First of all, a 10 minute walk is hardly far from the Path. Secondly, I am purchasing at Canco because it is one of the most amazing buildings in Jersey City!

If you havn't been there, you really should not be commenting on this board. The building is very cool!

And I WANT ALL THE AMENITIES!!! Sorry, I dont want to live in a crappy walk up and I can afford more than 300K. Once again its not the pricing so much but the fact that you simply can't afford anything.

I'll have my doorman, gym, shuttle, and everything else that comes along with it.

Good luck looking for a shitty 1 bedroom for less than 300K or just keep renting buddy.

I agree with your questions but I do know that the developer has a fantastic reputation. They built a development in Manhattan called "Element". It is one of the finest condominium buildings in the city. They also just bought a parcel of land in Tribeca for 200 million. They have a huge financial backing and a proven track record. I expect the same quality in their Jersey City project.

When I travel in Hoboken, I see cops all the time, driving, walking and on horse.

I can drive around JC for an hour and never see 1 cop car. Its obvious that more cops on the street will result in a lower crime rate. where are out tax dollors going???
