one thing to remember about Fed Ex is that if it's going by Fed-Ex ground they contract out routes to drivers and well get by by not treating them very well since they are 'independent contracters so your package will be treated very differently if going by FedEx air or ground.

IPTV is the way to go as long as it's not Gold Coast Broadband, worst company in the world, made me long for Comacast, and yes you are only lucky enough to get this horrible service if you live in Liberty Harbor, good riddance, love having FIOS, a choice of channels and not having the TV/Internet or Phone go out every ten minutes.

A true statesman would do the right thing even at the risk of losing his next election instead of pandering to people like you. New Jersey's gas tax is unreasonably low. Raising fares on NJTransit is no different than a tax, only it primarily targets residents of the state. A gas tax on the other hand raises millions from out of state drivers who fill up while passing through, and while otherwise not generating any revenue.

Very true. We need to raise the gas tax. Those of us who use public transport are disproportionately paying our share and since in NJ we have some of the lowest gas taxes in this country which are among the lowest in the world. Driving puts a cost upon those who do not use it and should be thus taxed appropriately.

Re: Downtown Jersey City major streets very unsafe and bad access for pedestrians

you don't know how many times a day I see so many opportunities for cops to give tickets to drivers breaking the law (as the cops chill on the sidewalk) you want to increase revenue, try enforcing the law! I feel so unsafe walking in Jersey City. Somerville NJ did a great campaign for pedestrian safety some years back that makes cars actually slow down in what was once downtown, maybe something similar should be implemented here.

well since they don't give us any information it's the only way to disseminate it is through the internet. So people have something to direct towards than it's fair game. I told them to stop emailing me and since it's an unsolicited email I can post it.

Stopped in yesterday and talked to the manager, they are working to have the biggest selection of beers of any store in the country. They won my heart with have 3 real Aussie Beers. Prices are spotty, some better than other nearby stores, some worse but if it's beer you're looking for def the place to check out.

I had the same problem when living there, our mail carrier just used to throw a pile of mail onto the floor instead of sorting it, not leaving notices, etc. But the head of the downtown JC post office is quite good about responding to complaints, when you get through to him and my missing package ended up at my 4th floor door the next day and we really didn't have any complaints after that. But new postal carriers may need to be 'retrained' But definitely say something, be polite and go to the next level if it isn't solved locally.

sounds like a great idea however if you're going to involve the community you'd be doing it a favor by NOT carrying cigarettes. I would recommend getting bagels in from Wonder Bagels having a good bagel place close would be great.

Hey they don't care about safety. And I wouldn't even worry about the light if people in cars knew how to obey the rules of the road. Light or not that is a CROSSWALK and do you know what you must do in a car when you see a crosswalk and a pedestrian you must STOP because the pedestrian has the right of way, not speed up, no flick me off or honk your horn but STOP. Jersey City needs to enforce this at every crosswalk in town because it is extremely dangerous for pedestrians. Only took Somerville a couple of months with signs posted in the middle of every pedestrian crossing and enough tickets written that people there do it out of habit now. This city was written up 5 years ago in the Wall Street journal as being one of the most pedestrian friendly cities in the COUNTRY. It surely would not be ranked that now.

A) i own a part of this building so I should be informed of what goes on in this building. And yes I have been extremely nice just wait till they have you in there hook line and sinker. Ask the residents of Zenith how happy you are and how many leases have been broken in the last month. And oh wow you were 28 days late, My building wasn't in move in condition untill 11 MONTHS after promised. So good for you, you're presistant, just wait until you find out the truth. So don't assume I'm not polite and wait until your maintenance issues aren't solved then i'll be laughing at you. I'm not the only one who has been flat out lied to, take a poll, oh you can't in Zenith, most of the tenants have moved out.

Great management is letting you stay for free in the building that I own part of without informing us. But get ready for property management because as other people living in Liberty Harbor will tell you they lie constantly, ignore you, don't maintain security, don't take legitimate complaints seriously and think everyone is just a wining first time home owner as an excuse for their shoddy construction. Oh and keep calling and emailing them, they'll pass you off each time to someone different and then ignore you all together or tell you that the living conditions are fine because they had the same problems in Poland 30 years ago and to live with it.

Whoa, whoa....I was supposed to move into the Regent on June 1....so them placing me in the Sutton on June 26 (which if you can add, was 26 days late on their promised delivery date) was the least they can do. It's not my fault you bought into a building you are obviously unhappy in. I have had no problems since moving in, and if I do have a maintenance issue, it is solved the next day. Maybe because I have manners and treat PM with respect. They are obviously overworked and stressed with the situation at the Regent.

We are staying at the Sutton free of charge. I did my walk through inspection tonight and everything, except for a few minor details (cleaning mostly) was great. They will have everything fixed before we move in tomorrow. The secret with PM is to call or email them incessantly. As my husband likes to say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

at Sutton the guards and construction workers are great just don't try dealing with CMC for your security panel (um I moved in in March and it's still not set up) nor Gold Coast and their lack of hours for support. Most of the amenities they promised have yet to surface and the condo association is impossible to get ahold of or answer your questions, the guy collecting the money has an email address that bounces back everytime. And warning don't expect it to be Mac friendly. I'm still waiting for this wireless community promised on their advertising page.
