It keeps getting worse. I was at the RNA meeting on Tuesday night. The RNA had their meeting with NJ Transit discussing the possibility of extending the 123's route down Palisade to Christ Hospital. Mayor Healy did NOT attend the meeting. NJ Transit nixed the idea for several reasons. One of the reasons was that they used the Coach Red and Tan 99s "survey" of low ridership on Palisade, as proof there was little need! They cited the cost of increasing buses in order to maintain their schedule on the 123 line which already enjoys full ridership. They felt that they would "lose" money if this extension was approved. Their suggestions was for Palisade residents to take the 84,87, etc. to Congress St. and transfer to the 123!
