Basement / Mold testing
#1

Hurricane Sandy flooded our basement. It's the basement in an rowhouse with about 7 units. We've gutted almost all of the basement. However, we still have the ceiling in the boiler room that hasn't been removed. The condo association isn't sure it needs to be removed and wants to test for mold first to make sure. The basement was flooded completely and all the ceilings did get wet.

Does anyone know a company that can test for Mold and/or inspect basement wooden beems for any mold/rot etc.

Please advise.

If anyone is interested my condo building went with Pella - they are familiar with historic district criteria and filled out all the applications needed.

Need some contactor recommendations for replacing windows in JC's Historic area.
Prefer someone local familiar with historic applications/permits and can have a selection of windows - high to low end to choose from. RWC was recommended as one option. Does anyone have anymore ?

Transmission slipping need a recommendation for repair

Can anyone recommend a good place to get a transmission repaired in JC or anywhere else close by. I have a 2002 mazda millenium and the dealer says I need a new transmission and both axles. Does anyone know if Aamco on Kennedy Blvd is any good? I know some other Aamco shops that have not been good. Or can anyone recommend another transmission place? I need to get this done asap.
