They didn't say Jersey City once. Just "New Jersey".

Grace CHurch is around $25 for 2.5 hours. And there are moms that volunteer their time and don't have to pay. The caregivers are lovely.

I remembered this thread and wanted to share. We had a new roof put on our row house last week by Pete Simpson. Very well done - took two days and I have never seen such a good work crew - when one of the guys came in to check something on the third floor - he took his shoes off - who does that?

They ripped down to the original beams - there was a potential for the cost to go up if them beams were rotted - but they said everything was good and the price stayed the same as the estimate. they even replaced some of the vents at no extra cost.

As for clean up, there were a few drops of tar that one guy scrubbed for 20 minutes until there was nothing left. They also repainted the railing where the ladder scratched the iron railing out front. We have used them for minor stuff before - very professional guys.

Is the park still supposed to open late November? I ask this because I am wondering about grass - don't they have to plant now? Otherwise it will be a muddy pit until May and even then no one will be allowed on it until it takes hold.

We have the Wee Ride. It is a front seat with a little bit higher of a weight limit. We routinely bike from HP to LSP and feel pretty safe. I liked the Wee Ride better then the ibert.

My two year old thinks they tickle when we ride over them in the bike. Not very effective for speed reduction though.

and they are super nice! I walk by the station on Marin and they always invite my son to look at the trucks, give him a hat and a sucker. They are so sweet! (and cute!)

Car Break-In 8th & Coles
#13

Last night at 12:40, the car parked in front of our house was broken into on the passenger side. My husband heard it, looked out and saw a tall black man in a gray coat on foot reaching in through the window. I called 911 (I thought b/c it was in progress) and they referred me to non-emergency number. So - the nonemergency number took the info and the police were in front within five minutes. While I don't think they caught the guy, the response was fast. I think we heard the owner's GPS was stolen.
