We tried the place on Fri and really enjoyed the few dishes we tried.

Service is a bit slow but the owner explained that they are still getting ready and hence have not advertised or distributed menus etc. But the food was worth the wait. We tried the Hyderabadi Goat Biryani and Chicken 65 (spicy).

One app + two entrees; all under $26 with tip.

Some related events with the last few years of parking around the VVP area:

2009 :

Hub caps - A few weeks ago someone stole my wheel caps. They cost $60 a pop at the dealership; so that's atleast $100+ if I can get them on eBay

This winter - I was shoveling snow outside our condo unit. This guy tried to make a speedy turn, skid, hit my side-rear and pushed the car on the side walk. The next thing you know, he is driving away without even bothering to stop. Chased him and he looked so surprised. He tried to sweet talk his way out but I insisted on a police report. I'm glad I did. When I called him the next day with the estimate given by the body shop, he pretended that the damage was very minimal when he saw it. The police report and photos I took really helped without which I would have to get stuck with the expensive suspension replacement

2008: My spare got stolen along with the wheel cover. Cost $300 to replace

2007: Some keys both sides of the car. Starts at the mirrors and goes all the way back. $300 to fix

Don't know if its just coincidence or related to this investigation

Pheasant sighting in Liberty State Park?

Walking my dogs on Sat morning, I saw a fairly large bird just around the 911 memorial. When we got closer, it retreated into the bushes.

Just wondering if anyone else saw it and knows if the Liberty State park has any Pheasants?

I agree with this poster on the food at Oh Calamares

We visited the restaurant on Sunday and staff + food added up to an amazing dining experience

a cop was speeding thru the morning traffic; lights and sirens on. Another car hit the cop car at the tail end. the cop car spun and hit another mini-man.
within mins every cop in the area was there to the rescue.

The passengers in the other cars looked ok but they took a long time to pull the cop out. hopefully he was ok.

But the cop managed to get his car to stop in time before he hit a whole bunch of other cars and shocked pedestrians.

That intersection is too chaotic with the Exchange place and school traffic.

We got our yard done last year. It was not a very large space roughly 30x10 feet.

The folks like Huffnagel (may have mispelled it) did not want to even come near it unless the minimum is $5000.

We were at the 14th St Farmers Mkt (by the turnpike - 1&9 split) and met John there. He was very accomodating with our under $2000 budget and got the job done within 2 days.

He also spent a good deal of time showing us various options and ideas that could save us money.

Happy to provide more details if needed.

I have a lot of respect for cops so please don't get me wrong here.

What I meant to say was that cops and local groups should start a similar drive to raise awareness and improve safety of pedestrians

another solution would be have local groups with assistance from the police dept perform similar checks on random days to raise awareness on this issue.

Pets - Raw Diet

I posted a similar post on DOGJC the local yahoo group but wanted to post this here as well.

I'm looking to start a group that feed their pets a raw diet or looking to switch to a RAW diet. In principle, the more members we gather the better chance we have at negotiating a better price from this distributor based in NY.

The website for the details of the manufacturer and kinds of meat is www.raiseapaw4raw.com

I'm not a distributor or employee for this website. There are similar co-ops/groups formed in other states and areas across the country who want to feed their pets a natural diet.

If you have questions on this or raw feeding in general please contact me hugsnpups@yahoo.com

I think JC police should do something similar. Its crazy trying to cross streets especially between the morning and evening rush hours when drivers are speeding across to get to Exchange Place
