I was there. I missed him going in the water, but I did witness him getting rescued. According the people there, he took off his clothes, put them on a nearby bench and jumped in the water from the Jersey City waterfront. I posted some pics on my blog...

I have a Dahon. The Vitesse D7HG. I've only had it a few weeks and I love it. I thought I would only ride to work on a rare occasion, but I find my self on it almost every day.

I live on Manila ave. and I ride about 1 mile to the ferry, and then another mile to my office in the financial district. Because it folds nywaterway doesn't charge me the extra 1$ bike surcharge.

Occasionally I take it on the train, its compact enough to not be a problem, the worst part are the stairs and turnstiles.

I highly recommend Dahon, I cant speak for the boardwalk but on the Vitesse the parts are good quality.
