His parents owned a bar on Paterson Plank Rd. years ago. It was named Healys Tavern.

Or he's writing out a report, having lunch, or on the cellphone.

I sure there are many reasons why he would want a place to park to conduct a legitimate activity where he doesn't want to be interrupted.

It isn't so isolated where you could walk close enough to take a picture

Everyone relax.

Nothing to see here, move on.

Try Andreas on Central Ave or Carmines on Mallory. Both are much better Second St Deli.

Close but no cigar. It was Food Fair.

Nope. I have never in my life shopped in a place called "Food Fair." I have, on hundreds of occasions, been dragged as a child by my mother to the Food Town on West Side Avenue by the Miss America Diner and Jersey City State.

Nice try, though.

Anyone remember when it was Pantry Pride.

That's not Downtown.

It's the Lafayette section.

North Jersey= North of Discroll Bridge (Raritan River)

Central Jersey= Raritan River to Route 195

South Jersey= South of Route 195

Jersey City police using new alert system
By Melissa Hayes/The Jersey Journal
October 29, 2009, 4:04PM
If you hear gunshots early Monday morning don't be alarmed.

The Jersey City Police Department wants to let residents know there will be a 21-gun salute in honor of the USS New York's visit to the World Trade Center site Monday morning around 8 a.m.

The police department used a new electronic messaging system to alert residents who have subscribed to either receive e-mails or cell phone text messages.

The police department has also used the service to send out safe trick-or-treating tips for Halloween on Saturday.

Residents interested in receiving the messages can sign up on the department's Web site.
