Does anyone know what the deal is with the cars that park in the side lot there?
My bf and I have been wondering about the arrangement those cars had, and he had asked someone who parked there once how it was that they could leave their cars there. I think the person told him that they used to know the owner, but that the owner had sold the place, or something. I'm really vague on the details.

Did I complain about parking in jc? And does the fact that someone left a note on my car criticizing my parking prove that I was incompetent in parking it?
I actually do have a really small car (so parking has never been a problem, thanks), and when I parked it a day ago, the cars in front of and in back of me were less than one foot away... sooo ... when those cars moved and others came in, this guy apparently thought I purposely left lots of room on either side (?).
If everyone drove a subcompact car like mine, we'd have a lot more parking places in JC. Some ridiculous person decided to leave a note on my tiny car saying that I took up too much space. I think that anger should be reserved for the cars 4 - 8 ft. longer than mine (most of them).

No no, I get it.
Did you leave the note? It totally was you!! Nice dashes, dashy. I'm *clearly* an inconsiderate driver because of the way I parked my car (yesterday). Soo, what kind of a note are you going to leave next time?

I found a handwritten note on my car today that said :
"check it -- b/c of the way you parked -- your small car took up two spots. nonsense."
I apologize if the way my small car was parked made it difficult for you to find a spot. However if your car was as small as mine, you could have easily fit behind me.
balderdash.

That's very nice for you.
I got these tickets some months back, and the experience I described of calling without anyone answering occurred back then. I wasn't lying about calling and not being able to get through. I'm just saying that it's not necessarily a simple thing to get someone from a parking authority on the telephone in JC. And regardless, my point is that when you find out you've received a ticket for mysteriously parking in a prohibited area 4 - 6 weeks after the described incident, it's practically impossible to determine whether or not that is true, which is why it's disconcerting to find out that the parking authority employees do actually give out tickets for violations that never occurred. Oh! Also, please don't tell me it's as easy as "calling the JCPA." I've called over and over and over for weeks at a time. Usually the phone just rings and rings, and if it doesn't ring, I get a busy signal for hours. I've actually spoken with a live person there probably 5% of the times that I've called. Maybe less.

Right, I know that I can see all the details of my alleged offense, but my problem is that when I get a notice about not having paid a ticket from more than a month ago, It doesn't matter if it says that I parked in a prohibited area on the corner of Monmouth and 4th st. on May 30. I can't remember back to where exactly I parked on some random day. If i were to get a paper ticket on my windshield saying that I was parked illegally when I was not, I would take a photo with a date and timestamp and fight the ticket.
The only way I can even to think preventing this is by starting a log that notes where I park every single day and taking a photo, bc you're really at their mercy when they issue a ticket and you don't find out about it til much later. Quote:

This makes me so angry. I've gotten 3 tickets for which I never saw the actual ticket, I just started getting late notices in the mail. How can you contest a parking ticket from some random day more than one month earlier? I have no clue where my car was parked on May 30. Now it turns out that it's possible I might not have even been parked illegally at all ...

I just want to say that I know that the lack of parking is annoying, but it's much more annoying to be practically run down every time I try to cross the street at a cross walk because cars are parked all the way to the end of the curb on every block so that I have to walk to the middle of the street to even see if cars are coming.
It's dangerous, and I wish they would ticket for this more and more consistently so that people would stop doing it.

I dont' know if this was posted before, and I'm not going to check, but I was just watching some vile videos on YouTube featuring Michelle Malkin, and the Worst Person in the World featured was a JC deputy mayor. Sheesh ... you have to be pretty bad to be worse than both Bill O'Reilly and Michelle Malkin.
