Maybe I (and the Jersey Journal) am missing something. Isn't the real issue here not the blown deadlines but the fact that the lawyer representing the Mayor (in a private capacity) is also on city payroll. I'd like to see copies of his bills for representing the mayor (and proof of payment) as well as a log of what he actually does for the city. Otherwise resonable folks could assume that the city job is a way of the mayor subsidizing his lawyers expenses courtesy of the taxpayers.
