Re: How much impact will "The" Golf Course have?

Can't imagine how the golf course would help that neighborhood. The course is so expensive and exclusive I can't imagine that many people reading this will be members (myself included :().

On another note, $100/s.f. is a pretty good deal for an existing structure, but of course it depends on its condition and what work needs to be done. Based on someone else's description, it sounds like you bought an old, abandoned, warehouse. Good luck with it.

I also don't understand why you would give the address and price of of a property if you have just submitted an offer. Sounds to me like you have ulterior motives.

I would certainly be careful, obviously. I know someone who looked at this house, and the owner had yet to do anything, but told him he was going to make some repairs. He went back a few months later and he had done basically cosmetic work. Painting, cheap sticky-linoleum floor, etc. Said guy might as well have not done anything, because it will all have to be changed/redone.

If you have any questions about the wiring/pipes, obviously your inspector should go over with a fine toothed comb. You are going to need to negotiate any work that needs to be ripped out/redone as far as wiring/pipes.

Watch yourself on this one. Good luck.
