Hello Group, we are looking to gather our neighbors voices in support of allowing properties who own an Electric Vehicle, the ability to apply for conforming/permitted use of their carport for charging of their vehicle.
With the recent push throughout NJ for a move to Electric Vehicles, many people have been making the switch from Gas to EV. This is a positive step in the right direction around Jersey City, removing gas emissions from the area. This group/thread is gathering voices in support of the environmental move, as we ask the city to consider a progressive move in the right direction by allowing EV owners to utilize their carport/curb space properly. Just as malls/Whole Foods/municipal lots/city garages etc. in general are helping the State of NJ by incentivizing the switch to EV through providing space to recharge, we are asking Jersey City to join the movement and consider a similar program by opening permit application for private property use allowing those with conforming carports to utilize the space for their Electric Vehicles.
