I'm trying to do some research on my family. Both my mother and father, Jeanette and Albert (deceased), lived in Jersey City.
My mother's family owned a furniture store, their last name was Nyman. This probably would have been sometime between 1940 and 1960. The furniture store was sold and a grocery store built in its place.
My father's family owned a bakery, their last name was Somlo, same time period as above.
I don't know addresses or even names of the businesses. If anyone has any recollection, I would very much like to hear from you.
