Hello everyone!

We have a bunch of great shows coming up at White Eagle Hall! We are a newly restored and renovated historic theater located in the thriving nightlife scene of downtown Jersey City.

Here is a list of our upcoming shows:

Wednesday, July 11 ? Tanghetto

Doors: 7:00 PM
Show: 7:30 PM
18 and over
$20 - $25

?TANGHETTO? is an Argentinian New Tango Group (Tango Nuevo) of stellar musicians created by musician/songwriter and producer, Max Masri. Based in Buenos Aries, Argentina, they are famous worldwide, and have been nominated several times for the Latin Grammy awards, and won several others, including the prestigious Gardel Award. Their style is a blend of tango and electronic music. Their experimentation in studio started in 2001, but the group was formed as a band in late 2002. Max Masri was joined in the project by guitarist/composer Diego S. Velazquez and various guest musicians. The band?s current lineup includes bandoneon, violin, cello, acoustic piano, acoustic and electric guitar and drums, samplers and synthesizers. The main feature of their music, apart from the balance of electronic and ethnic sounds, is the strong presence of melody and song structure which creates an exciting new vibe.

Come for the music and/or come to dance at the Concert/Mega Milonga! The night will include an Introductory Tango Class preceding the concert from 7:30-8:30 pm by instructors from the Authentic Argentine Tango School, the only dance school in NJ dedicated exclusively to promoting the art of Argentine Tango.

Drawing audience members in with his deadpan self-deprecation and ability to pile punchline upon punchline, his decidedly low-key stage persona belies
a deeply intelligent, often biting, occasionally absurdist worldview, one lauded by discerning fans who seek a fresh yet honest update to traditional observation and social commentary.

Hello everyone! We have a bunch of great shows coming up at White Eagle Hall! We are a newly restored and renovated historic theater located in the thriving nightlife scene of downtown Jersey City. Here is a list of our upcoming shows: Friday, 5/11/2018 ? Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Pete International Airport Doors: 7:30pm Show: 8:30pm This event is 18 and over. $35-40 For a select few, rock'n'roll is a life sentence. It's in every muscle in your body, it's in every thought you have, it's written all over your face. When you arrive at Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's headquarters in East Hollywood, you know you're sidling up to the home of some of rock's most primal prisoners. In the driveway there are motorcycles. In the living room there is gear splayed everywhere; random bits of drum kits, a pedal steel guitar, stacks of vinyl. Answering the door is a bleary-eyed, chain-smoking Peter Hayes (guitar, vocals) and his co-habiting bandmate Leah Shapiro (drums). In walks bassist Robert Levon Been too, Hayes' BRMC co-founder, dark shades on, an even darker all-black ensemble. As a trio, they seem forever unsettled, even in the safety of each other's companies. They take time over answers, seeking for perfect responses. It's the same approach they have to rock'n'roll. If the end result is not flawless, they're not interested. TICKETS: https://www.whiteeaglehalljc.com/event ... orcycle-club-jersey-city/ Sunday, 5/13/2018 ? Rival Sons Welles, MoTHER Doors: 7:00pm Show: 8:00pm This event is 18 and over. $20-23.45 Released in June 2014 via Earache Records, Great Western Valkyrie puts Rival Sons freewheeling fuzz and improvisational stage ethos to wax and cements their position as America?s next great rock?n?roll band. With a ?conscious decision for this band to be just what it is? (Jay Buchanan) this album is more cohesive than any Rival Sons album before. From the beach cities of Southern California, the time was ripe for Rival Sons. Guitarist Scott Holiday had long been searching for something that would fit his psychedelic vision and fuzzy garage rock tones, then things fell into place when blues singer/songwriter Jay Buchanan put the solo career on the backburner and gave rock ?n? roll a chance. TICKETS: https://www.whiteeaglehalljc.com/event ... 2-rival-sons-jersey-city/ Friday, 5/18/2018 ? Basement / Citizen Pronoun, Souvenirs Doors: 6:30pm Show: 7:30pm $20-23.45 Basement is an English rock band formed in 2009 in Ipswich. Citizen have emerged as one of the most promising young bands in the alternative underground today. TICKETS: https://www.whiteeaglehalljc.com/event ... ment-citizen-jersey-city/ Thursday, 5/31/2018 ? The Psychedelic Furs *SOLD OUT* Doors: 7:30pm Show: 8:30pm This event is 18 and over. $35-40 Born out of the post-punk UK rock scene, the Furs quickly developed as one of the premiere bands on US College and Modern Rock radio scoring a multitude of #1 singles. TICKETS: https://www.whiteeaglehalljc.com/event ... hedelic-furs-jersey-city/ Friday, 6/1/2018 ? The Slackers Crazy & The Brain Doors: 8:00pm Show: 9:00pm This event is 18 and over. $20-25 The Slackers are self styled masters of Reggae, Ska and Rock?n?Roll from New York City. Started his musical career in 1977 as a punkrocker in the band Mean Street, before being sacked in May 1977 for being "too creative". Responded to an advert in Melody Maker to join the band The Lasers, alongside Paul Gardiner. Both soon left to form their own punk band, Tubeway Army, with his uncle Jess Lidyard filling in on drums. In 1978 Tubeway Army was signed to Beggars Banquet and released a couple of punk singles. By then he was using the name Numan and the band was performing live in pubs and clubs around London, supporting The Lurkers. Whilst recording demos for Beggars, Gary stumbled upon a Minimoog that had been left behind in the studio, still programmed to a sound that caught his attention. The rest, as they say, is history.
