Does anyone know if flood insurance covers damage from sewage back-up that occurs as a result of heavy rain?

Also, stupid question but don't know who to ask: can sewage back-up occur on the 2nd floor of the building (where potential apartment) would be?

Thanks again!

Thank you all. Appreciate the advice. Will look into getting a CLUE. The property is quite far from Grove St intersection, b/w Jersey and Varick.

Hi - considering buying on Bright Street between Varick and Jersey.

I know this is a flood zone (AE) but any additional color on whether it really gets flooded (including from backed up sewage)?

Asking because I understand it's typically the same properties / street corners. Thanks so much.
