He doesn't deny knowledge of the conference in that clip or deny that he was there. He denies knowing about any bus tours and says that Robert Cotter attends whatever conferences he sees fit and doesn't clear/need to clear it with the Mayor and doesn't know what he might have said. The Mayor's timeslot at the conference is different than Cotter's. There's no proof in the clip to support your allegation.
