Large group of kids at Lincoln Park today

Not wearing masks and not distancing at all.

I know the JCPS graduations were today, but these were a mix of ages. The pre-teen/teenage looking kids had no masks on and were hugging, carrying on backs, etc. I found it so disrespectful and had to turn around with my younger kids to leave.

I am interested in the Wicket tickets because there is a huge Wizard of Oz fan in my house. How does this raffle work? One $25 donation gets three raffle tickets for each show or do you have to specify which show you want? I see that it says you don't have to be present to win. When will winners be notified and will in be a phone call?

LCCS Lottery Deadline THIS Friday
#5

Friday is the last day to enter the lottery for LCCS, one of the best schools in Jersey City, in the opinion of many parents. The lottery will be held a week later. This year applications are available online for the first time and it will be a weighted lottery. From what I understand, children who qualify for free and reduced lunch or have IEPs get priority in the lottery.

Does anyone know about the Girls on the Run program taking place at the armory? I heard from another parent that a program runs at the armory a few afternoons a week. Unfortunately, I can't find any information about how to join, fees, schedule, coaching, etc.
TIA

If you establish a good relationship with a neighborhood shop, you can always ask to have packages delivered there instead. it's been much more convenient to pick up a package a block away versus having to drive to Secaucus as I did in the past.

Need Advice for keeping kids busy before school starts

First time posting after a lot of lurking on here and looking for some advice from fellow JC listers:
My wife is away for the next 10 days and since all camps are long over, I have just under a week to keep my kids from killing each other before shipping them back to school. I was just told that my 10 year old is now way too old for the Ikea ball pit. It's been a while since I've had to do this for so many consecutive days. Any suggestions for what to do this week for grade school kids in JC or a short drive besides the parks and Liberty Science Center?

Here's hoping that I'll keep my sanity!
