Re: Hey Hipster Bikers (& Kids) - Wear Your Helmets!

I noticed this! It's scary to see...the kids, little kids whipping around Newark Avenue on bikes or scooters just as I'm heading to work and the parents are sometimes a good 15-20 feet behind. Luckily the crossguards are on top of their game...all it takes is for one idiot texting and driving on their way to work or for a kid to lose control.
Please wear your helmets!!

I agree. There are far better candidates more qualified and that will do a much better job for this community. We need someone with an open mind and heart. Her opinions are way too strong and close minded for our community. She's way too mouthy and not the kind of person I'd want representing JC. She doesn't seem confident or stable enough in my opinion....social media reveals a lot about a person just saying people need to do their research!

Is it too late if I want to get my 16 year old involved in this program this summer?

That's so sad to hear! I empathize with the educators today.....they can't teach even if they wanted to. It has become a matter of survival at this point and it's heartbreaking. There was a time when teachers were able to love their job and make a difference. Between all the paperwork, and the test prep, the crime and safety, who has time to really teach our kids anymore?

Any update on when this place will be open or whether they'll be open for lunch? We need some good lunch options over there!

Oh no! It was such a great outdoor summer lunch spot! Loved their Kale salad and Mac and Cheese!

This is awful. I see this everyday...people constantly on their phones and not paying attention to the road. That poor mother and her babies...

Never tried Dolma but heard great things! They do lunch delivery too I believe. They were cold calling local businesses offering their menus. I'll have to give it a try next week

Went there for the first time last week for lunch. Food was amazing, drinks were even better. Would definitely recommend this place and looking forward to trying out their dinner menu soon, good amount of Vegan options too.

Sounds like a drunk guy from the Latin Lounge. I heard the place is closing down soon thankfully....that bar has been a nightmare in this city for decades!
