My husband and I are looking at buying an apartment at 53 Duncan and we're wondering how safe the area is.

Specifically, I'm wondering how safe the walk to/from the JSQ PATH is, since my husband will be commuting to Manhattan. I'm also wondering about running in the area. Lincoln Park looks close on a map; is this park safe for runners in the morning?

I know the area is up and coming, but my biggest concern is safety, specifically the recent nearby shootings.
