So to confirm: We are still not expected to pay the 3rd quarter taxes until we receive the bill?

I was in the same situation, or so they said. So I went with Chubb. I think it was a lie. I have been over-insured for years apparently. Where did you get your insurance and who recommended them?

Yes - $1200 for an entire house. I have been paying so much more. I just contacted State Farm - their rates are entirely different from Chubb. I'd be curious to hear what you think.

Also, it is my understanding that one doesn't insure for the market value of the house but rather for the rebuild cost which should be less as we are paying for the land in JC

Curious what people pay in the Hamilton Park neighborhood. I think I am drastically overpaying. We have Chubb. I saw another thread about this and saw some people were paying $1200..

Any details on size of house, broker would be great.

thanks

I saw the kitty at about 9:30-10. I called animal control also. They said they had already received a call. The poor boy was dead - flies were buzzing and blood was dribbling from his mouth :(. I wonder if it was poisoned as there were no visible signs of trauma.

Giovanni D'Italia at Newport. Just dropped two pairs of boots there and they came back looking great.

Marco and Pepe has a great burger in two sizes! And I'd have to say the Lamb Burger at American Masala is none too shabby. Their fries are unusual and addictive:

This is a great new addition to the Jersey City restaurant scene, near Exchange Place. The food is innovative and reasonably priced. We loved it!

Ox has indeed closed its doors. A sad day for Jersey City's dining scene and for the owners and employees. Wishing them the best of luck in future endeavors.

I just went to Little India to get threaded...just a note of caution for those first-time threaders, this may not be a procedure that works for everyone. I have friends who have been doing it for years with great results.

I was not as fortunate. I have super sensitive pale skin. This is what happened to me. I have heard that refrigerated neosporin applied immediately can help. My lip is still healing over a week later.

Maybe the mac and cheese is aimed at kids.

To me, the decadent Marco and Pepe mac and cheese is wonderful, but small children tend to want their mac and cheese pretty plain.[/quote

Children who are raised on plain Mac and Cheese will like plain Mac and cheese. Others will enjoy the decadent variety. Children like to eat what they are accustomed to eating.

Keep this in mind:

Also, if the new apps are anything like last year's venison sliders, I am sure they are amazing!

Looking for a mother cat that just gave birth in one of the yards on 7th or 8th street between erie and manila. She is tortoise-colored and rather small.

I have been caring for her and want to know she is okay. If kittens are abandoned I will capture them..Has anyone seen her?

I am a novice gardener and have been continually amazed at what I have managed to grow in my jc container boxes.
My organic garden includes three types of heirloom tomatoes, herbs, leeks and tiny strawberries. I even had a tiny pumpkin which I accidentally picked before its time and there was a watermelon vine which my husband acidentally mowed down. I can't wait to plan next year's garden.

I adore OX but I can't believe they have reverted to the "no bread" shennanigans..When it first happened just after opening I chalked it up to newness issues..

Has popcorn become the new bread?

My recycling bin was stolen last week. And our trashcans have been stolen in the past. At least it was stolen after the garbagemen left. But they didn't take the cover. It is also difficult to decorate the front of our home since those items have gone missing too. People have even cut flowers from our front yard.

We live in an historic home and would like to put decorative iron window bars on our ground floor windows. Does anyone know the regulations on this? What will happen if I put them on..we live near the scene of the recent rape and I am feeling a bit vulnerable..
