Oh okay. May be they found the fish pond in my backyard just recently. The fishpond has been a Very Bad Idea from the start. Had to get rid of it.

None of those critters actually hibernate, though they will lay low during the coldest weather. They'd be out as soon as it was warm enough to forage, certainly by March or April, long before now.

Oh. That's good to know.

I was replying to "they were always there". But NIMBY.

And they are back (downtown)

So it's that time of the year again.

Encounted a racoon in my backyard in downtown last week.

Two nights earlier, it was a skunk. It was a surprise encounter between the two of us - it sneaked under the fence right where I was standing. It wasn't ready for me, I wasn't expeing a visit either. We both panicked. I peed a little, it sprayed a lot. But I was faster - ha!

Better keep a look out - especially when you are walking your dogs.

Thank you for the information!

Yes, I know and am prepared for tedium - if only our lives were like what they show on TV!

Looks like I missed the court night. But I am interested in attending some real cases anyways.

Cheers!

Where in the city can I attend criminal trials?

Out of sheer curiosity (and plenty of time), I'd like to attend a criminal case/trial, just to know what goes in there/how things work.

Which court in the city should I visit? The hudson county court at Newark ave or the municipal court at Summit? (or some other court?)

Also, do they publish list of cases being heard?

about what time was yours taken?

Mine was gone in the middle of the day - parked there at noon, came back at 6 in the evening, and it was gone.

I think the tire slashing might be more because of frustration of not being able to pick your lock.

Just to add to the list - mine got stolen y'day from Grove St Path.

I knew it was not uncommon, but since I don't park there regularly, I took my chances and it's gone now.

Going to the East District police station to file the report - they were too busy y'day to attend my call.

Now I know it's stupid to trust flimsy locks, but shouldn't the city do something about it - I mean, it's one of the most common theft that occurs pretty much every day in some the most crowded public places in the city with tons of cameras around.

Whom to contact to draw attention to this? Would it be Candice Osborne?

Probably met the same 'gentleman' near Grand and Washington. I knew he wasn't from PSE&G as he claimed to be. When I asked for his ID, he knew the game was up.
