i work in technology and i can tell you that most of the tech jobs listed and their budgeted salary is why people in tech hate going into government. you get paid nearly half what a private sector job would pay and you have to fight 10 times harder to get budgets to work on projects. whoever takes that CTO job better have the patience of a saint.

"sixth borough" - no thanks

why the huge campaign of people trying to make jersey city out to be the "sixth borough?"

honestly, i don't want this town to be just an extension of nyc, i prefer to see jc have it's own identity. if i wanted to live in brooklyn or somewhere else, i would. this isn't nyc and the idea of pretending it is kinda comes off as silly to me. it's pining to be something that jc doesn't have to be.

a huge space that seems like it's housed so many incarnations of this restaurant. now that they've moved out, any idea what is next there?

only issue i have is the lack of cleanliness at LB, the owner's kinda shitty attitude to the employees going back to the days at legal grounds on grand. i'd rather a proper bbq joint, i can appreciate the type they are doing but in a better environment would be nice.

the former location of Cintron Barber Shop which is now an abandoned building is now basically a homeless hangout. this sucks. it was a great place to get cleaned up and the people who worked there were great. it's a shame this happened to a cool spot.

got delivery. took a while to come. i called up to check on the order and the person on the phone was rude. the food was bland and poorly portioned. the burritos are nothing like those of the chain around manhattan. a bummer, i miss their food. this place is not the same, or good for that matter.
