Re: Jersey City Public Schools - No A/C and no Fans? What's going on?

I grew up in Elizabeth for elementary and middle school, and moved to Roselle Park for highschool. With the exception of the computer rooms, which have to be kept cool so the computers don't overheat, there was no A/C anywhere. My mother also works as a a public high school teacher and has never had AC. The reasoning, from what I understand, is that the kids aren't in school in the heat long enough to make it a worthwhile investment. It never bothered me that much growing up, and my mother only gripes about it for a limited amount of time.

I would love to try this place, but I can't eat there because the vegetarian selection was severely lacking. My option was a single personal pizza, even in the expanded menu, when we tried to go eat for dinner. I mentioned this to the hostess, who assured me she would "Be sure to mention it," but in a manner that suggested I was wasting my breath.

Just a warning for any other veg heads out there.

This is super sad, Kraverie is one of my favorite places to eat downtown, and she was always really nice whenever we were there.

As far as the woman who hit her goes, I read in a previous JJ article that TWO WITNESSES tried to stop her from driving away, including one man who threw himself in front of her car, only to be almost mowed over by the driver. She knew she hit someone, she was probably drunk and knew they'd get her for drunk driving too if she stayed.

And according to that Linked In, she's a teacher. Awesome.

We went here this past week and loved it! Food was delicious, staff was incredibly nice. Can't wait to bring a 6 pack to $2 Taco Tuesdays for some sweet horror flicks.

JustJane, if you work til 2AM how can you be bothered by the crowds at the Grove Street Plaza???

The park closes at 10 or 11 (anybody know exactly?); the dog run is in the park, therefore Socrates the Man says the dog run is closed in the middle of the night.
