JERSEY CITY POETRY SLAM! TONIGHT!

The Individual World Poetry Slam (IWPS) is right around the corner and we want to make sure the representatives from venues around the tri state area are ready to leave it all on the stage in Spokane, Wa!
IWPS is broken down into 4 timed preliminary bouts (1, 2, 3 and 4 minute bouts). The JC Slam IWPS regional will follow the iwps format. All competing poets must have poems adhering to the time limit of each round. The competing teams will be.... The Nitty Gritty Slam from Albany, NY The Suffern Poetry Slam from Suffern, NY & The Jersey City Slam from Jersey City, NJ. There will be a 4th slammer or "Storm Poet." Like at IWPS, we are saving one slot for a poet to represent themselves and try to take the win. The cover is 5 bucks at the door and there are 3 dollar tacos all night! This slam will also be a fundraiser for the Jersey City slam rep, Jelly, to help send him all the way to Spokane, WA for this international competition.
