Ample Hills is by far one of the best top ice creams out there and it is great that it is coming to JC.

Bar in JC Heights - Low Fidelity

I noticed new signage where Trolley Car used to. A bar called Low Fidelity is scheduled to open in the spring. Any information not his venue?

With Choc-o-pain and this opening, I hope it sets the precedent for other businesses like this on Palisade Ave.

Just moved to the Heights neighborhood in the summer and Trolley Bar suddenly close. Does anyone know why?

They were taking equipment out or putting it in, hard to tell. I should of asked but just thought of that now.

Alternate Side Parking

I am wondering if the street sweeper comes when it rains? I live around Palisade and Ferry and I am thinking if I park my car on Ogden near the dead end near the community garden would it be safe to leave my car there Monday into Tuesday avoiding a ticket.

Plus rain is in for the forecast. I don't know how strict they are with writing tickets that are not moved.

I ask because I may have to leave my car parked Monday into Tuesday because I will not be around to move it. Let me know your thoughts.

Hi all,

I just moved to the neighborhood and I am looking for some new friends in the neighborhood to hang out with. I enjoy doing all types of things and very easy going. Reply back on this and we can set something up. For general information I am a 28 male.

Can anyone recommend a place for dry cleaning? I just bring pants, shirts and suits. I have access to regular washing so I do not need that. Thanks!

Anything on Palisade Ave would be great!

Jitney Bus

I just moved backed to Jersey City and I am on Palisade Ave in the Heights. I wondering about price of taking the jitney bus to Journal Square or Newport. I took one before with my friend years ago. I also read some articles that they can be dangerous, any change in that?

In general what do you do when you get on the bus? For NJ Transit it is clear. Thank you!

Property Appraisal

Hey All! I made an offer on a condo and I went above asking because I really wanted it. I am sure the asking was way below the market value because it was a bidding war for it. I know it is rough guess but what do you think a one bedroom, 450 sq feet, open concept, remodeled kitchen and bathroom is worth?

It is 329 Palisades Ave., on the corner. Bus stop is right out front and easy access to downtown Hoboken and walkable to the PATH.

I am expecting bringing more money to closing, any thoughts on the property value? Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

I am looking at some property at the dead end of Ogden. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I did a walk to the Light Rail using the metal stairs and also walked to the PATH, it was pleasant walk even though it longer than what I am used to.

Any comments would be great!

Tonight I was stopped in the left lane while the left hand turn light was red but it was green for straight. I decided I did not want to go left so I went straight by switching lanes. I saw a flash, will I get a ticket for that? I hope not.

I had a rental a few weeks ago and I live in the Downtown area. I parked on 1st and Columbus most of the time. I had no issues and got no tickets. I had the car for about two weeks. Technically you need a permit but I do not think it is strongly enforced.

I went a few Sundays ago to get bread for bruschetta but they close at 2 pm! Was surprised but not really at the same time. I went to Choc o Pain instead for bread, it was good but still want to try Pecararo. I will try the se salt on it.

I am glad this is happening. The Journal Square area is a dump and has the potential of being something like the Downtown area now. I moved to McGinley Square recently but after six months I moved to Grove St. As a young professional I wanted more amenities and things to do around me.

I look forward to seeing the growth!
