The Heavyhitter DJ C-Lo Kicks off JCFW Fashion Festival season on 9/22! www.universe.com/jcfwsept2016

Bio:::DJ C-Lo knew something special was about to blossom while playing at his first party more than a decade ago at a place many of us won’t be able locate on a map - Herring Cole Chapel in Canton, N.Y., while in college. And the rest is history. WHY NOT?

The son of parents who emigrated from Ecuador to the United States for that “American Dream,” DJ C-Lo was a defensive lineman under Coach Lou Sabin (who coached NFL Hall of Famer O.J. Simpson) at Canton University. Inspired by DJ Red Alert, DJ Kid Capri and Grandmaster Flash (and devastated at the unfortunate death of a close personal friend, DJ Carl Blaze), DJ C-Lo has gone on to sack the turntable business with the same heart and determination he had while out on the grid iron, just mixing it up to the crowds delight.

Those small college parties led to other bigger and brighter opportunities when he headed back to “The Big Apple” after college. His first date was at the now defunct Club Float near Times Square would eventually provide growth to his credibility in the music business, thus countless events followed. In June of 2006, DJ C-Lo becoming a member of the world famous DJ crew, The Heavy Hitters, lead by the legendary DJ Enuff (Notorious B.I.G.'s DJ). C-Lo has paved his way into becoming one of the most sought after DJs not only in the New York Tri-State area, but also throughout the United States and the countries abroad. He’s wowed crowds in Canada, Norway, Australia, Japan, China, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico just to name a few.

DJ C-Lo had played at exclusive events for 50 Cent, Cee Lo of Gnarls Barkley, Fabolous, Rick Ross, Jim Jones, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and more. He’s had the honor of playing at events hosted by Nike, Adidas, Best Buy, UnivisionRadio's X96.3FM (WXNY-NY), Hot 97.1 FM (WQHT-NY), the Intrepid Sea-Air Space Museum and Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus. Sports franchises like the New York Jets, New York Giants and New York Knicks have called upon DJ C-Lo to provide entertainment at recent events. C-Lo has also played during pre-game and halftime sessions during St. Francis University’

New Jersey – City of Jersey City – 2014 Football Fashion Week was a huge Success with celebrity NFL appearances by N.Y. Jets Starting Safety Jaiquawn Jarrett, Super Bowl Champs Darrell Reid and Odessa Turner at the January 24, 2014 fashion show at Pole Position Raceway.

Designer Samantha Samuel emerged as a designer to watch, her collection should be on its way to the Ovation TV’s “The Fashion Fund”. Samantha, a new and magnetic rising star in the tri-state fashion world, stole the night, with her football helmeted models, absolutely true to the theme of the night.

Jersey City Fashion Week Spokesperson Marc John Jefferies excited the entire crowd with a surprise appearance after finishing” Brotherly Love” an upcoming Queen Latifah Production, Big Moma’s House: Like Father, Like Son and producing his own short film “Happy Baby”. This show was the most inspiring Super Bowl XLVII Fashion Show in the Tri-State area with Super Bowl XXI and XXV Champion Carl Banks G-III Sports Apparel Group, LaRae Wilson signature line LaRae Mychel featuring an exclusive one of a kind Cocktail Dress made of White Castle® Slider packaging and Tommy Hilfiger contributing his exceptional collection. Karlene Lindsey of KL Designs, Chris Nonn of Daring USA kept the sparkle on the runway with exceptional styling. This being said, it is not hard to imagine the buzz created by Tori Carters “Strike A Pose” children models as they strutted on the runway in NFL licensed gear.
