this burns me up
our playgrounds and parks in the heights are deteriorating

that fountain does not seem like a priority and thats a whole lot of money to spend on it too

I smell it again today here in the heights although not as strong as the evenings of last week which was hot & humid.
Called DEP they are sending someone.

I feel its affecting our quality of life we're indoors with our doors and windows shut on a gorgeous day.

i called the DEP number
their inspectors will show up and test the air when you report it except they dont generally work evening hours when i notice the smell the most

it will help us get to the bottom of this if everyone calls
in as soon as they smell anything

DEP 877-927-6337

no see i dont have to live with it. i just read a report from california that these industries are unregulated and release dangerous toxins into the air. i dont know about New Jersey but I will look into it. they take old air conditioners and refrigerators and engine blocks apart and release toxic freon and other dangerous chemicals into the air. these dangerous metals and chemicals accumulate in our bodies and never leave.

I've never smelled anything like that before and I knew it came from metals or something electric burning.

here's the article i read

Does anyone smell that today? There is very strong odor of chemicals in the air. Is it more pronounced than other days due to humidity today? I'm in the heights, anyone smell it in other parts of JC.
