Re: Paco & Taco... what's the story with these people?

Ok, have to laugh that there is a thread devoted to Taco and his plus one. I have called the fuzz on this duo MANY times, and never to any avail. I was even told once by a cop who was standing about 50 ft away as they were hurling empty bottles at each other (and into oncoming traffic), that it was all ok because they only seem to exhibit violence towards each other and their hands were tied because of the over crowding of jails due to 'real criminals'. I live on newark ave above a business and they used to ring all the buzzers and 'break in' to hang out in the hallway for warmth. When the police finally showed up about 2 hrs later, got the same story. Nothing they could do because they had left about 5 minutes earlier, even though everyone in the building saw them, knew they didn't live there and wouldn't . More of the fine work of the JCPD.

It seems like the JCPD has a pretty lax attitude when it comes to these sort of things. I live on Newark ave and have the lovely couple who are drunk and pushing a shopping cart up and down the block 24/7. They literally beat the crap out of each other in front of my door and sometimes just sit there and block it so I have to physically push the door into them to get out. I see them constantly throwing things at each other, which could most definitely hit passersby or vehicle traffic. Have called the JCPD on several occasions and have been told every time that they're "aware of the situation" but essentially will do nothing unless they're actively beating each other and throwing crap right there in front of them. My favorite line was "They only seem to exhibit violence against each other, so you shouldn't worry".

Chef Phil Burgess, he is a lead chef instructor at the French Culinary Institute in NYC and lives in downtown JC. He gives both private instruction and group lessons out of his home here in JC and can definitely work with you on knife skills, butchering and pretty much anything else you'd be interested in. What's more, he is so nice and patient and truly a great teacher. His hourly rates are reasonable and if you have a friend or two who want to join in you can whack up the cost among you. His e-mail is phil122669@yahoo.com if you're interested in finding out more. Good luck!
