lost cause. every week i bring it up to the PATH support and it just clearly doesn't even matter to them. ridiculous. i've more than once suggested they just make them stairs since working escalators are apparently not something they care about

It's a real shame. The food there was awesome. I don't have any concrete information, but as I live around the block I can tell you what I know.

- The owners lived in Scranton
- Presumably they couldn't really find anyone to work the shop when they couldn't get there
- They closed for about three weeks and then were open for one day and the owner said that he was in Poland

After that, nothing. Then one day an eviction notice went up and JC cut out the lock.

My guess is they couldn't find anyone to work so they could stay open, so they couldn't pay rent.

Again, these are not facts, just my guess based on the chain of events.

COULD NOT AGREE MORE! I have a close friend who works for PSEG and these people have been working 16's since sunday, some since friday or saturday! Everyone needs to remember that they need to take themselves out of their immediate situation and realize that we were all hit--everyone has been working extremely hard to get things back up and running. They will be working 16 hour shifts for the foreseeable future (2 weeks or so) 7 days a week.

As a person of the Polish committee, OP's post really rubs me the wrong way. "Why do Polish people hate trees" -- really?

I'm way more concerned about Paco & Taco leaving their poops on Columbus drive and the general state of disarray of the block between the Grove PATH and Barrow then a set of gray, steel doors.
