i've lived in jc for 15+ yrs and have logged most of my marathon training miles right here in hudson county. i agree w/the responders, e.g., run w/o the ipod, avoid kennedy blvd, run during the daylight. i write on running in jc and often suggest routes or location-specific workouts. check them out for ideas: examiner.com
