Not too shy to talk

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: If you live near the Greenville area, or just want to help with a fun wacky thing we do here, please contact Project Greenville about volunteering the day of the Bike JC Ward Tour, Sunday June 4th from approx 10:15am-12:15pm (on Danforth Avenue between Old Bergen Rd-Kennedy Blvd) as we greet the cyclists on their way through our neighborhood by handing out water and Gatorade. It's fun, it's nice to lend a bit of hospitality to Bike JC who regularly do a great job of including ALL areas of Jersey City in their rides and events and quite frankly it's an amazing sight to see so many people filling the streets for a day of fun and exploration!

Call, text or email to find out how you can help make this a special day for all and be a part of the Greenville Greeters!

Need Someone to Move a Fridge Up the Street...
#7
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

Looking for someone with experience and basic tools necessary to move our friends refrigerator up the street from their house to our house. If you are someone who has done moving/hauling/odd jobs of this nature, this will be an easy job that should take no more that 30 minutes...most likely less time than that. The refrigerator is at 109 Winfield Avenue and is going to 128 Winfield Avenue, literally on the same street just a few houses away on the other side of the street. I only say you may need tools in case the doors need to come off but it's not a large fridge, just an average freezer on top fridge on bottom style model (dimensions are as follows: 63" Tall, 31" Wide and 28" Deep) and you'll need either a dolly or hand truck to take it up the street. I am looking for someone who would be able to do this Monday, preferably in the early AM. Please email me with your availability, your quote for this basic job and a little about your experience. Thank you! projectgreenville@gmail.com

That is a nice one too...food taste/quality is average tasty diner fare, but the waitresses and staff are very friendly and fast and the plates are both plentiful and very affordable! Breakfast is the perfect time to go, on a weekday if possible, where you will really get to see the place hoppin' and the staff so on-point...they know so many people's names and/or orders as they walk in the door :) Enjoy!

This IS a great spot :) I am a loyal Roma Deli fan (1599 Kennedy Blvd at the corner of Neptune) but Mozz Boss is doing a great job adding more delicious food options and friendly gathering places to the neighborhood! Next spot I'd like to try not far from Greenville is Carmine's Deli:
http://www.yelp.com/biz/carmines-italian-deli-jersey-city

which, while i'm not proud to admit it, i'm honest enough to feel an urge to divulge i had never even heard of til i read this food article:
http://blogs.villagevoice.com/forkint ... to_eat_in_jersey_city.php

not surprisingly the article features about 90% of it's picks in the downtown area, but it did at least lead me to what i'm sure is a hidden gem since i noticed just by looking at a map, that it seems to be on a side street-ish, mostly residential street like our beloved Laico's :)
Enjoy everybody!

Question: What are these red and white signs I sometimes see on more run-down looking properties?

I wish I would remember to take a photo to post along with this question, but I never do! They look to be about 12-18" square signs that are mostly red with white lettering which usually just says a few numbers...sometimes the numbers look they could pertain to a date or to pieces of the property address, but others don't have anything I could even venture to guess what the number combos could pertain to. Just curious as I am seeing them more and more often.
