Re: Does anyone know about a recent sighting of a Loch Ness monster type of creature in New York Harbor?

I'm the biggest skeptic in the world. Usually these ?Nessie? sightings come in the form of an odd blurry shape in the background of a tourist?s family photo, disappointing monster hunters everywhere when futher inspection reveals yet another floating hunk of driftwood or a runaway inflatable raft. That being said, this photo, taken from a boat in the NY Harbor during the Labor Day weekend, shows irrefutable evidence of something huge in the harbor. Draw your own conclusions.........

Fight fire with fire I say! OK, so here is the situation at hand: honk horn--open gate. Now if you can hear the horn(s) from where you are, it stands to reason that they would hear you should you honk a horn. So the obvious solution is

Resized Image

BUY AN AIR HORN!

I would go with the Hella Dual Tone Air-Horn. Now once you have this durable little field unit in your hands, you can do one of two things;

Option 1)Hold this badboy out your window & honk it at your leisure. Somebody in there has to hear these horns to open the gate, right? Well what do you think will happen when they keep opening the gate only to find no one is there? Need I say more?

Option 2)To Hell with practical jokes! The damage has been done! This is war! Stand outside with your airhorn & honk at at any van, car or truck that you suspect is ruining your quality of life. Make them feel your pain!

Of course I must caution you that Hell hath no fury like a disgruntled postal worker but hey, ya do what ya gotta do.

Aye, I too have seen abandoned shopping carts. My guess is they are the sad aftermath of Alien abductions.

Ok, now I am sure this has been posted here before.... somewhere, but I just cant find it.

Is there anything that can be done about the loose trash that blankets our JC streets after garbage pickup? It is completely out of control, just the other day I was walking my 2 dogs when I turn around only to find Molly trailing behind me with a 20 oz. raw steak hanging from her mouth.

Just to play devil's advocate, are you upset over the loose trash or the fact that your dog got to the steak before you?

Rebuttal from City Hall;

Jeremiah T. Healy is a life-long resident and advocate of Jersey City. At an early age, his immigrant parents taught him a strong work ethic and a sense of family values and moral integrity. These character strengths have played an integral role in his persona in Jersey City throughout his years as a husband, father, and public servant

OK, so I passed by the gun store today to see what wacky old Dave was up to. I believe it was open. Not only that, but it seems Dave has found religion. In large friendly letters on his window was "With God all things is possible". Has Dave given up his gun slingin' ways to be a bible thumpin' preacher? Or is he now a self-styled avenging wrath of God, looking to cleanse the streets of Downtown JC from evildoers, hooligans & wayward souls who are foolish enough to double park in front of his establishment?

Am I the only person in Jersey City who has yet to see this guy? WELL THAT STOPS NOW!

Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, fans of Larry The Cable Guy, all these mysteries pale before this elusive Phantom. And I swear to you, on the souls of my illegitimate children, that I will track down this fugitive & find out what his story is!

Pimp? Bootsy Collins groupie? Or just a wayward soul in need of a Mens WareHouse gift certificate!? I'm gonna solve this mystery!

Robert Stack sez;

"And if you have any information leading to the resolution of this, please post that information here. Maybe you, yes you, might have that one vital clue that could help solve a mystery.

Thank you.

And while I'm at it, who here doesn't think John Walsh ripped off my act, huh? That cardbord cut-out couldn't emote his way out of a paper bag! How I hate him! But I digress......."
