Barrow Mansion stories?

I was wondering if anyone out there had any stories of "strange goings on" at the Barrow Mansion. A few friends and I have had some, perhaps paranormal, experiences and would love to hear some more stories. Perhaps even get Ghost Hunters here to check it out! :)
Please share if you can...

Yes. It means that if a crime were about to take place/person was in the act of committing an act of terrorism, we'd be screwed. Instead of calling the cops and letting them figure out if what this guy was doing was concern-worthy, numerous people did nothing and you thought it wiser to ask our opinion on jclist? Honestly, I'm really trying not to be a dick, but why wouldn't you call the cops and see what they had to say about this matter? At the very least, they would have sent a car to figure out what the guy was doing.

Well, congrats, you do sound like a dick. I didn't call the cops because the man was FROM THE MOSQUE! He entered the building when he was done pouring the bleach. I never thought it was an act of terrorism....I simply was wondering why someone would do this.
I agree with the above person that jclist always takes things to an level of ridiculousness.

Someone told me who bought this space, but I forget. Can someone tell me again?

Re: The loud motorcycle tearing through Downtown this morning

Jmiz, I find your view of suburbs vs city disturbing. So, in the suburbs people can complain if others do not respect others, but in the city we can't?
I have lived here for going on 10 years. I live on a very busy street. I do not complain about, and have gotten used to, the police sirens, ambulance sirens, garbage trucks, etc that cause city noise at night. In fact, I find it hard to sleep to silence now.
However, this is different.
In a city we should (and obviously this would be in an ideal situation) learn to live together, tolerate eachother and respect eachother due to our close quarters. I know this is not always possible, but I do believe in calling those out who do not.
One douchebag on this bike at 3:40 in the morning is different than regular city noise and should not be excused.
Perhaps suggest that the biker move to the suburbs instead, as he is not evolved enough to be aware of those around him and therefore unfit for city living.

The loud motorcycle tearing through Downtown this morning

Like many downtowners, I was woken up at 3:40 this morning by an incredibly LOUD motorcycle tearing its way through the downtown streets! This happens so often and always around the same time. Its so inconsiderate! Its a horrible way to wake up and now I am sleeping in my coffee!
I tried to get a look at the dude as he idled at the corner of Monmouth and Bright for a VERY long time, but I couldn't see him. Anyone know any deets? Anyone want to unite on this?
Needless to say I am a little angry this morning...

Hello there!
I have lived in the JC for 9 years now.
I am currently working on a children's book project that I would love to have some people to bounce ideas off of. I have sent the manuscript, in various forms, to a friend of mine who is an editor. But I would love to work talk some ideas over with other like-minded people.
If you are out there? Let me know!

A woman was mugged at knife point on Monday night as she was keying in to her house. The man came up from behind with a knife, demanded her bag and took off with her bag in a van. The thief has been arrested. But it is a lesson to all of us that we need to be conscious of our surroundings and safe at all times. If you do not have proper lighting outside your house/apt door, install some. This will alleviate a thief being able to hide in the shadows.
