Looks like Baker Boys building is for sale - don't know how it will effect their business. I was told that the building two doors down - Ruskin Hardware - is coming down, but that doesn't correspond to the address in the original post.

Is the new building going onto the vacant lot that faces both Newark and Third?

Yeah where is this? There actually seems to be 2 vacant lots in that area.

Off topic anyone know what that building is that they recently rehabbed over the summer that splits newark and third?

To h3ll with columbus. Use the money for columbus to renew Newark Ave to at least the gas stations on newark and brunswick. It seems to me thats where the majority of foot traffic stops.

I used to live in Liberty Towers but never saw Reege! We must have missed each other.

While I was there, a young high school basketball player from Lincoln High in Brooklyn moved in during the NBA draft. Apparently they needed to get him away from B'lyn and all the attention. I cannot remember his name for the life of me but I do remember he was Stephan Marbury's cousin and he ended up being drafted by Portland. I also remember the doormen saying that tons of free stuff was sent to him all the time and a Maybach was at his disposal. Nice bling in front of the building!

You are thinking of Sebastian Telfair. They just wrote a book and made a documentary about his life as a high school basketball player. Does anyone know if Jersey City is mentioned in the film or book?

I saw the 2 hour documentary on espn a few weeks ago and There was a portion in the documentary that said telfair was moved to an undisclosed location in the weeks leading up to the draft to get his away from all the attention. And on draft day they did show him getting into a maybach. So I guess the doorman wasnt lying. I had no clue it could have been jersey city or the liberty towers, wasnt looking for it. Maybe if i watched again looking for it I could tell.

The question is weather or not she really did go somewhere else instead of to bj's or shoprite or whatever. She may in fact have gone to shoprite to pick up a pack of gum but that certainly doesnt give her the right to park her car there all day long and shop in the area.

Why even bother to see the tape, if she knows she didnt park her car there to shop somewhere else why the stress to see the tape, she shouldnt need the tape, SHE SHOULD KNOW.

Now i guess im playing devils advocate here but if she did in fact do that then well what can you say, she got caught. Its like a speeding ticket, you know everyone does it but it sux YOU got caught. I say suck it up and pay it if she in fact did just park her car there and shop somewhere else.
