I concur. John Moss is unbelievably thorough and takes you through step by step. His company is call Inspex, www.inspexbuildinginspections.com and the phone number is (201)433-8777. My parents just closed on a unit in the Rosina on Wayne and I had them use John; just as thorough as ever.
And as for attorneys, I used Sheldon F. Margolis, located in the Capital One building in Journal Square (the old NJ Trust & Co. building). He was very effective at helping the process move along. I found him to be more than fair with his fee and when you have to go back into your copies of the mortgage and paperwork the documents were all labeled and categorized; a breeze if you have to reference anything from your mortgage proceedings. (201)795-5000.

I prep the books for my building's non-profit home owners' association and I need a reference for a CPA to prepare the buildings tax return for this year. Any local business owners that have a local CPA to recommend would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone know what this new place is going to be? I live right down the street and have been watching the construction the last couple of weeks. It is formerly the Bakers Boy Cafe on the corner of Newark Ave. and Monmouth. It now has wood paneling on the outside and looks like it might be something cute, anyone know what this is going to be???

I hate the dentist and have had quite a few great ones, but never one so thorough, professional and comical to make it bearable like Dr.Schillinger. He is located just past journal square on Jewett and JFK. I have had great peace of mind with his work and don't loathe the idea of my next check-up. Its rare to get a medical professional with equal parts skill, technique and bed side manor. I would check him out. It took me six month to get the courage to call and make an appoinment, but I am glad I did. Here is his website: www.schillingerdental.com

Does anyone know if the polish store EUROPA (two doors over from the fish braids gallery) is closing for good. My husband is from Gorzow Poland, and over the years I have come to love polish deli meats and various other grocery items. I would hate to think I have to start driving to Pulaski in Linden to get groceries. I know they closed for renivations in the spring, but this time it looks permanent.

Mod Restoration in Brooklyn is great and their work is impeccable. Perhaps about 5% higher but the expertise and service isn't like anything I have seen anywhere else. I recommend checking it out.

Wood Restoration

I live in a historic building with a large wooden door. It gets pretty beaten down by the sun. Since the door is original to the building, from the early 1900's, its imperative that I contract someone who has a real knowledge of wood maintenance and preservation. Any recommendations of reputable local business/contractors would be much appreciated!
