Can we change the title of this to "Wayne street beat down" instead? It says nothing about a gun or knife unless the actual paper does.

If you're into graffiti, I highly recommend seeing Exit Through the Gift Shop, a film by Banksy. There's a lot about the evolution of contemporary street art, as well as a bit of a treatise on art and authenticity. Even if you don't like street art, it's a really fun film - the first time in a long time that I wanted to watch a movie again right after it ended. It's currently playing at Sunshine theater on Houston in Manhattan. I wrote about it on my blog too.....http://lookoverhere-abeaumont.blogspot.com/

Do you know where i can see this? Is it available on dvd?

I know I have mentioned this but has anyone else noticed that JCPA "overlooks" the cars that the daily parking lots put on the street. I'm specifically talking about the lots on Warren btwn Morgan and 1st.

Every night at 6:30 you can see 2 or 3 cop cars parked there. Somtimes even double parked. They eat at the Muscle maker to strengthen the egos.

It's not the developers fault that its sitting and being over grown. Its "we the people of jersey city" getting in the way. Stop crying and let the man expand our city.

Re: Save the Food Trucks of Jersey City

Went out for lunch at exchange place and counted 8 food trucks. I think some days there are even more than that and they are all doing decent business. I love these trucks and the people running them are all pretty great too. There is some that charge far too much (Italian hot dog guy) considering they really dont pay rent but whatever, I just don't go there. I love having the selection and wish more of them would be around on the weekends. After I ate my meal I walked back to my desk and only had one thing going through my mind.... WE NEED TO SAVE THESE EFFING FOOD TRUCKS !!!

I had a package stolen recently as well. It wasnt signed for but somehow it was delivered and stolen. I guess the joke was on them as it was a gag gift sent to me by a friend. I thought they were sending a wedding invitation when they asked for my address, but when they told me what they sent it was clear why they asked if i like monkeys or elephants better. http://www.poopsenders.com/

Has anyone here ever SEEN alcohol poisoning? Not me. Some people would define alcohol posoning as a martini, or confuse being drunk with being poisoned.

Is the subtext to call the police if you see an underage drinker? Why confuse the issues? A major symptom of "alcohol poisoning" is unconsiousness, although it is also a symptom of SLEEP. So if they are concerned about alcohol posioning why the prattle about friends of underage drinkers and not passed-out drunks. If I see someone passd out on a train the odds are VERY great he is not a teenager.

An offshoot...if you KNOW that every whacko on a train will call the police if you are drunk, the logical inclination might be to DRIVE home.

The ad is stupid, placed by stupid nosy blu-nosed people, in a stupid place, with a likely outcome that is worse than "alcohol poisoning." Vomiting is far less dangerous than a head on car collision.

And here's a reality...people who see drunks passed out on trains look the other way.

Of all the stupid ads on PATH, and they are the rule, this one is close to the stupidest.

Yes, I have seen it and I was very scared...Most people that have gone to college have seen it. I think the point of this add is aimed at the groups of kids you see late night (2 or 3am) on the path heading home. Its NOT an add advising you to rat on underage drinkers. Its to send a message to minors and inexperienced kids that they dont have to be afraid of punishment. Their friends health is far more important.

But I guess if the message isnt getting sent to adults on JClist then it has no chance of getting through to minors.

I can help you, but first you must clarify your position regarding Fresh Direct and their trucks that idle under your window for 10-20 minute periods. Please choose one: A. I hate FD and would never order from them and have disdain for anyone who does. B. OMG! OMG! I LOVE FD!!!! C. I hate FD and their idling, polluting trucks unless it's me they are delivering to, then it's "OK".

I haven't tried it yet but I would have to go with C. Cause its all about me.

Seriously tho...How is FD?

Re: Noise from Concerts on Governors Island

I was wondering if you all could help me. I'm looking for an apartment in DTJC but require certain amenities. First things first, NO KIDS! I can not stand to be annoyed by kids in parks playing ball and certainly will not tolerate teens out past curfew. Secondly, I must be within a few blocks of a high end supermarket such as trader joes or whole foods. To see Goya on the shelf absolutely disgusts me. Last but not least I must have complete silence. How dare the rest of the world live while I attempt to stock up on beauty rest! I refuse to pay top dollar to live a few miles from a City that Never Sleeps and still hear all their shinanigans. So if any of you know of any vacant farm houses in DTJC please reply. I know this seems like a lot to ask but I deserve all of it.....dont I?

This just upset me.... I dont even know how they can say that it would be impossible to get a headliner this late. Of course this is my opinion but who cares whos headlining? We go for all the bands, to hear new music and have a good time. Get some local bands to headline. Target the Jersey bands that made it big. Gaslight Anthem? Bouncing Souls? MCR? What about the local New york bands? Matt and Kim, MGMT. What bands woldnt want to play around here, if not for new Jersey, deffinately for NYC!

I would love to hear some feedback from all of you to pass along to him. I personally think it would do excellent in DTJC. All opinions welcome, Good, Bad or Ugly!

I always like to consider weather conditions. If your having someone deliver you food because the weather is nasty try to keep in mind this person is spending most of their day in it. throw a couple extra bucks and show appreciation to someone who is just trying to make a living by making your life easier.

unfortunately any lock can be cut with the proper tool. The only one that is difficult to cut and does insure your bike if it is cut is the $120 kryptonight chain that weighs 12lbs. expensive and heavy... I've been bringing my bike inside my apartment, it sucks but its the only way i'll be able to keep it.
