Re: Trump Our New President

Diplomacy through Twitter - Really - Mexican President cancels visit - Trump is clueless - relationship ruined - next? Hmm .. he thinks voting was fraudulent - sure - torture is good - pipelines through native American territory is okay (as white Europeans didn't commit genocide and push natives into the worst possible areas of our country is enough harm) - sorry electing Trump will be a mistake - love how he repeats words when he speaks also - "we will build a beautiful wall, very beautiful" or I like "a complicated form of payment" LOL...US will be embarrassed by Trump - bye

Can't we restrict the height of these buildings west of Newport Mall in historic Hamilton Park... don't we have enough 30/40 floor rental buildings???

Get a smart TV or if you don't have, use Roku Amazon Xbox, etc..buy a Mohu Leaf 50 for HD channels and download Pluto.tv and other channels from the available apps.
Note: You can get that 2 year deal tv plus internet, maybe free HBO and Showtime, etc.. then, once you get the providers box, send it back, save 10 dollars...also, buy your own router, that saves another 10 dollars a month...now you can watch HBO and Showtime via apps.

Helicopters have been hovering again, creating unnecessary noise pollution. Happening now. Downtown JC over shop rite.

615 AM - helicopter hovering above 1st - 3rd street area near shop rite - can be heard from Hamilton Park. 622 AM - still hovering - why? It woke me up at 615 AM - so not sure how long it really has been hovering - could be since 6 . . . 545 AM ? Very annoying.

Re: Parking at Light Rail LS Park lot for 10 days

just went over there. "we're sorry, monthly parking is sold out for the current sales period. please be advised that monthly parking permits are sold starting the 19 of the preceding month at 5 pm (e.g. Jan permits go on sale Dec 19 5 pm)"

I am guessing that monthly passes are not for a 30 day period, but rather the month. So this does not help me.

Parking at Light Rail LS Park lot for 10 days

Liberty State Park
This Park & Ride is located in Downtown Jersey City. It is adjacent to Liberty State Park and is located off of Duarte Drive (formally Johnston Avenue) directly behind the Liberty Science Center. The site has access to the Hudson Bergen Light Rail Transit (HBLRT) system. It is accessible from the New Jersey Turnpike off the first exit ramp at 14C east bound. $3.45/DAY OR $57.50/MONTH.

So, I need to park my car there for 10 or 11 days while I am out of town. Is 3.45 per day correct / 57.50 per month. Anyone else use LSP light rail to park? Is it safe to leave car there?

Re: Turn Signal Repair

Update, so I pulled the front bulb out, then put it back in figuring i would go to Autozone and replace it myself. When I put the bulb back in, signal began to work correctly, thus something must have been loosened. So, I am good to go, thanks everyone.

Turn Signal Repair

Any recommended place to have my right turn signal repaired.
The lights works, but blinks/flashes very fast, as does the
inside turn signal indicator on my dashboard.
Again, the signal works, but something is malfunctioning
and need a reliable honest repair place to determine what
is wrong, thanks everyone.

Re: My Dachshund has seizure
Home away from home
Home away from home

To clarify, I would estimate 3 to 4 minutes of convulsions followed by 6 to 10 minutes of walking around confused stumbling bumping into objects unable to stand.. after that he was resting and sitting in his bed alert?then had a drink of water and fell asleep where he still sleeps as i write. Scary stuff..he is 18 and this is the first I KNOW of that he has had ..to what appears to me a grand mal seizure. But for now..he is sleeping and breathing very normally.

What did the planning board vote? I sent a note to Mr. Cotter (not that Mr. Cotter). . . requesting to not revise and appease the developers change of plans. Also, why do they have these meetings at 5:30 PM. If they moved it to 7 PM, wouldn't attendance increase, or is that the point. Less is best.

Re: Smith & Changs is now a We Works

JCLIST to S & C ?.JCLIST to S & C ?..what is your policy, please comment . . . most people are annoyed that you're permitting "clients" to sit for hours (2-4 hours), talk loud on their hands free devices (conducting business) . . take up space . . . a normal client would bring a book, newspaper, laptop, order a pastry and coffee, sit, consume, not talk obnoxiously loud on their cell, and leave somewhere between 15 to 45 minutes. JCLIST to S & C...

Stop using it as an office ?so inconsiderate, jeez? Gayle and I .. ? it's not an office, it is a coffee shop where people go to relax, read? nobody wants to hear all your business, nobody cares, so rude !!!

Smith & Changs is now a We Works
Home away from home

Noticed in the last few months that there are folks who speak loud on their cell phones inside Smith & Changs conducting business?it is like a small we work office inside, with people on their hands free sets yapping away ..loudly. One girl with short red hair is very loud and speaks non-stop. It is now unenjoyable to sit and read at Smith & Changs. Other coffee shops in town have signs and ask clients to use their cell phone outside.

Orthopedic Doctor in JC …or Manhattan?
Home away from home
Home away from home

Went to Orthopedic doctor. Visual / Physical exam = probably meniscus tear etc. Advised to get MRI on right knee. May want second opinion on result. I'm sure the doctor will be pleased to do a meniscectomy. But I read with some physiotherapy, some shots, rest, recovery will be the same without surgery.

Need a recommended doctor in JC or Manhattan for second opinion and any advice from the crowd. Many thanks again.

17 floor tower 8th n Marin behind Unico Tower

Shame. Construction or Destruction crew chopping trees down today. Green cover over metal fence hiding activity. Asked employee . . "the Unico Towers sold the land, 17 floor tower going up, will reconstruct park between buildings to include trees, dog run etc"

I thought from Marin west there was a zoning prohibition against 17 floor towers?
