yes they traveles to brooklyn to get the prescriptions. they are not commonly stocked in target or other places like that and they can be very expensive.

hormone replacement therapy is ususlly conducted with testosterone. so yes it can effect your personality but not any more than anything else that your body produces naturally.

i will summarize since you dont feel like reading the article/complaint..

the officers were on hormone replacement therapy due to documented symptoms and reduction in testosterone levels. the controversy in the medical world is how far to raise a patient's natural hormone levels with these drugs and what constitutes "low" testosterone levels.

i bet it has never crossed anyones mind that maybe the officers are good cops. or even good people. crazy right?

i know at least one cop on that list that i'd be disappointed to see gone from the JCPD.

maybe the scenario was sketchy but there were no laws broken. there were legal prescriptions!

GrovePath, you are paying to feed, shelter and promote these dogs with every tax dollar you pay and there is nothing you can or will do about it.

unless you leave JC.

this is silly argument because it boils down to personal choice and responsibility. when i went there, i ate a ham, bacon, sausage, egg and cheese on a bagel every morning. lunch was never anything particularly 'healthy'. never got fat and I am a pretty healthy adult now.

having pride in your home and the home of your family is a fine thing. it doesnt need to be rubbed in anyones face. I'm happy that i was able to experience the cultural differences growing up that many of my suburban friends did not. doesnt make me any cooler, tougher or better than them though.

(not that i'm not cool, tough or good)

actually, rikers island is only for people who are arrested in NYC.

being 'bnr' in jc though, i find it strange that people automatically think it makes them better in some way than someone that moved here from out of town. i just dont get it, jersey city has more than its fair share of 'bnr pansies', if you want to call them that. i guess in thier minds its easier to posture on people from out of town than other people from jc.

right now its an off leash dog issue. soon it will be a drainage and health issue if the correct substrate and surface is not installed in the "dog run"

well regardless of the time of day, i will not hesitate to kick your dog as a last resort to keep it away from either the fragile or dog aggressive dogs i sometimes walk. i will feel terrible for the dog and probably say something less than nice to you. just a heads up.

i definitely think its unfortunate that a segment of the dog owning population makes the law abiding, responsible owners look bad. I'm a dog owner and dogs are a very large part of my life but if i had had a child and any loose dog approached, I would do whatever I had to do to prevent any contact. there have been occasions that, while walking my ex's dog aggressive dog, we have been rushed at this park and I had to kick the offending dog. I felt terrible for the dog and usually had something less than cordial to say to the owner. it sucks but I'm not going to let my dog be bothered or potentially put in a situation where it feels it needs to bite.

last weekend i saw a cop sitting in his car watching the dogs run off leash for about 20 min without doing anything.

i think its completely unfair that people openly let thier dogs run off leash and be out of control. no parents should have to worry about thier child being approached by a strange dog if they prefer it to not happen. i know its a much different situation but i own a small breed senior dog that does not appreciate being played with, often roughly, by every dog that runs by. usually i just pick him up since its not a big deal but i shouldnt have to. if some of the dogs would actually come when called, i'd feel a bit better.

the one gun a month law only applies to handguns and in JC the permits must all be personally approved by Chief Comey. they put you through the wringer if you have so much as a misdemeanor. gun violence is statistically less likely to be committed by someone who went through legal channels to obtain thier gun than someone who did not.

Re: Bartending Job Questions for Others

if you havent figured it out yet you might want to find another calling. I bartended for 8 years and made all the drinks while the chicks with low cut shirts and tight jeans put asses in seats.

having also managed bars, i can reccommend that you not even bother applying for a job that requires a headshot. you think they want pictures of dudes? dudes get good bartending jobs by knowing someone or applying in the right setting like a cigar bar or a steakhouse.
