Vigalante: you just wrote:
"I don't defend the off-leash crowd or the people who don't clean up."

and earlier in this post you wrote:
" Asking the Police to enforce the leash laws on a regular basis is absolutely ridiculous. You face much more danger crossing the streets around Downtown!"

And then in Direct Response to a Leash Law Petition you wrote:

"Will there be a petition concerning reckless drivers and litterers? How about those people who don't shovel after a snow-storm? Feeding pigeons? ($1000.00 fine for that offense) Putting garbage cans out before 7pm? Leaving the gates open in the playground? Basketball games at 1am? Didn't think so."

So my Flip Flopping friend... which is it? It sure seems like you support Off-Leash behavior.

Vigalante: you are VERY vocal on your Poop Conspiracy theory that we are all against the group in Hamilton Park that socialize...

But please address what I have brought up and what SamS stated above.

Why do you think you have the right to have your dog off leash running around the park violating people's personal space and safety. And btw... I don't care if you have a 2 lb "harmless" maltise.

Please address this question.

Timmmmm

Here is a search for other Condo's for sale in the area code 07304 that are probably near the Foundry. Of course, these may not be an apple to apple comparison of what you may get at the Foundry as far as ammenities etc...

Stop calling people "pathologically jealous" and creating stories about "90%" of people who complain?

Instead you should follow the LAW and keep your dog on a leash~ period.

Nobody is trying to break-up your doggy social group. We are just asking you to show your neighbors respect. By having your dog off leash you are violating the space of every adult, child and leashed dog. I have a large breed dog who is NOT HAPPY when unleashed dogs large and small alike run up to her face and start poking at her while their owner is halfway across the park yelling their name trying to regain control from 50 feet away.

Your argument is really a joke.

** EDIT** I originally addressed this to Stani- but really it was meant for Vigilante. It gets me so MAD when people argue for their "right" to have their dog off-leash just because we do not have a Dog Run yet.

Sorry... rant over.

+ 3.

It would be impossible to back track all over your dog's free running path to see where your dog may have pooped. I must be in the "10%" of HP residents also...

I contacted Esther (Dream Home Services) based on feedback on this thread... she returned my initial email almost immediately indicating interest but then when I called & emailed her she never responded again!

ugghhh!

Does anyone else have a really good, thorough cleaner they trust and can recommend? I prefer to have the same person/people coming each week instead of rotating people in my house that I don't know.

I am five months pregnant and tired... Please HELP!

Thanks!

Getting a boot on your car after 4 hours doesn't sound right. Did your visitor also have a number of oustanding fines in Jersey City or elsewhere?

You're right umestuzelle. Downtown Jersey City *clearly* has no problems with crime or flooding.

Now go back to your fantasy world and leave the rest of us paranoid folk to provide legitimate feedback to the OP.

I would definitely get Rental Insurance so at least you are protected.

But I would be more concerned with potential flooding. Have you spoken to the landlord about previous flooding history, French drains, Sump pumps etc...? I have heard a nightmare story recently from a renter around HP losing nearly all his belongings from the crazy rain we had a few months back and the landlord did nothing to remedy the flooding situation despite all of his promises.

Mural Artist Wanted

Just can't stay away

Hi

A friend of mine who lives in the heights is due to have her baby in March and she is looking for someone to paint a mural in the baby's room.

She is looking for a sky and clouds on the ceiling and possibly a tree, ladybugs etc... on one wall.

Are there any interested artists on this site that she can contact?

Thanks!

Eeriegal,

Whatever you do, do not use the house on Erie between 3rd & 4th as an inspiration! I do not believe Metalic Silver is on the Historic Color list... (I hope this is not your house, if so I am sorry )

You can look at Benjamin Moore Historic Color Chart on the below link or take a ride down to Tsgonia Paint on Grand Street / Communipaw and pickup some color samples to test a few out before you commit.

Re: Wooden Stoops

Just can't stay away

I heard that the Historic Commission guy (Not sure if it was Dan Rearden or his replacement) made the builder tear down the stone steps they were building and replace with wooden to comply with the historic by-laws. Since the stairs were completely removed, this is what was required.

IMO, this is taking the historical preservation to a ridiculous level.

If the House on 3rd and Erie could talk...
That is where the famous Serial Killer "The Iceman" lived...

http://www.crimelibrary.com/notorious ... rs/mass/kuklinski2/1.html

I stopped reading the book because it was really sickening... but he talks about living on 3rd Street across from St. Mary's and about his first murder which took place in the "projects" on 15th Street...
