This must be a joke. Get your ass to the ER at JCMC. They have specialists on-call.

I think that was after the busted the Mini Mart at 80 Wayne. There were 30 dudes packed in there betting on something or other.

Isn't there a big development going in the old parking lot there? I wonder if the developer will have some pull to get the cops caring.

Sounds great, David. Glad to see you'd like to drop the Hispanics versus whites rhetoric. I'm right there with you. Keep it up with that can-do attitude!

Like I said, if you really want to go through the pain and cost of treatment, have at it. It's your life. Sorry I called you hysterical.

Did you get the full rabies treatment for your previous bites?

BCB, do you really think that post made any sense?

You take sarcastic snipes at Fulop and demonstrations endlessly. Feign victimization in someone referring to "those people" [sic].

Fact is that that street has been a problems for years. Violence and drug dealing in and around that park has been constant for far too long and nothing gets done by the police department.

So what are these mysterious solutions you constantly allude to that we're missing? What brand of activism would put an end to your snark?

"Perpetuation of stereotypes from the comfort of your living room" sounds exactly like your blog to me. What game changing activism have you figured out that you might share with the rest of us?

As > %50 of the population is infected with some form of STD, protection is totally reasonable. So no, it's nothing like that. It would be more akin to going on an anti-viral cocktail just because your condom broke.

I missed that 1908 post before. I think you made my point on the rarity issue.

Right on Croft. It's not the trip to the hospital or antibiotics I take issue with. Antiobiotics are given for bacteria from the bite and are cheap and easy. But rabies is a virus and requires very expensive treatment over the course of 4 weeks. I just don't think that needed in a case like this despite whatever hysterics jcnight is advocating. Racoon, yes. Leashed dog, no.

For the record, I was bit a few times back when I walked rescue dogs. So I do practice what I preach here.

Well yeah, that would totally explain why I didn't present it as a fact. You really cleared that up.

However, the fact is that you're chances of tripping over that dog and cracking your skull is probably better than you getting rabies from it.

Maybe we should shoot the dog and autopsy it's brain just to make sure though. Think of the children!

Yes, I know rabies actually exists. Thanks.

Point is this was a leashed dog. It's likely vaccinated and well cared for. Now how many people do you really think get rabies from dog bites in this country? You probably have a better chance of dieing from, well, just about anything.

But hey, if you want to spend the next month going to the doc and getting shots, go for it.

Why install apps on the data RAID rather than the OS disk? It's not like (at least in windows) you can reinstall the OS and have the apps work. Only from an image restore, in which case the apps might as well be with the OS, no? Is the point to keep the OS image small?

Because I'm a Linux guy and that's how we roll. Windows apps are so entwined with the OS it doesn't really matter for most things.

I'd say you're latter option is the best. I would typically run the OS and swap off one disk or a RAID 0 (keeps reads and writes fast if you do swap) and all apps/data on separate RAID 1 virtual device.

It's pretty annoying that they always lack so many details, but race wouldn't help you identify the perp here and you know it.

Either way, nice to see a Goldman employee calling an "up and coming" hood like that his home.

Walking down Columbus last night I was happy to see the Krave Truck and Lucinda's just west of Club H. Chub H also had a grill going. I wish the John Soup Kitchen from Exchange Place would stay around for the evening crowd.

Grabbed one of each of the tacos at Krave and was a happy man. Seem like decent guys and nobody ashed in my taco. I just wish they had some bulgogi.

That's $43,750 per a job for 1600 local jobs.

You could get a new URL and hide the fact that you have a bone to pick... It's still an internet poll and therefore completely useless.

I was being hyperbolic. You keep mentioning the areas around the park. OK. There's no need to go through them them though. You are aware of the pedestrian bridge that avoids all that badness, yes?

I just hadn't had my coffee yet, it wasn't anything on you and I appreciate you relaying the info.

I'll gladly have works with anyone turning a blind eye to letting their dog/child digging holes in the new lawn. The way the park looked before the renovation started was pitiful. There were huge holes in the middle of the field and 80% of the grass had been torn up in the western lawn.

Ok ok, I think you've made your completely ridiculous point. Jog to LSP and YOU WILL DIE. I get it.

Just means I'm less likely to run over you you on the pedestrian bridge.

How about not letting your little mongrel (canine or human) dig a hole in a public park for five minutes???

Capping is clearly the option. I hope nobody tries to hold this up because little Johnny loves to eat paint chip and dirt.

Same here. Curious to hear what the capping actually entails.

They already have paving stones down for the SW walkway to the gazebo. Looking good.

Yes, we call that the "rape bridge".

Definitely no low income housing, but there are some modest houses mostly along Closter Dock Rd. It's a very small town and mostly undeveloped. You can't even see the older, nicer houses from the road. They're set back on private drives.

Don't know if it's really all that anomalous though. There's plenty of towns in Bergen County that lack anything even approaching lower income residents.
