if anyone thinks that this administration had nothing to do with 9/11, is simply uninformed of the history of the US. fdr/pearl harbor, gulf of tonkin, etc...NOT TO MENTION THAT THE NEO CONS STATED THEY NEEDED ANOTHER PEARL HARBOR IN THE PNAC! read it for yourself.

whether or not the US government was capable of wiring the WTC for an implosion, conspiracy theories, whatever you want to consider, regardless of all of that, one cannot overlook the fact that the US government has never hesitated to sacrifice lives, thousands of lives, innocent lives very often, in order to better themselves economically. 3,000+ of our own citizens on 9/11............?..........who knows.

the East Timor massacres are a prime example. completely covered up by the media, an event (i don't want to call it a war....slaughter would be more appropriate), that most Americans are completely unaware of even today, but it was their own US government that practically independently planned what resulted in nothing short of a genocide. an estimated 200,000 Timorese were slaughtered. why? so that the US and England could sell weapons/planes, and of course, OIL. Also worth noting, the United States single-handedly forced the UN out of the picture, eliminating their involvement to prevent the invasion.

hmmmm......America not cooperating with the UN.....doing whatever they want...........allowing tens of thousands of people to die in wars overseas for their economic betterment.....OIL.......selling arms............government cover-ups.......

whether the US government was fully responsible for 9/11, partially responsible, not responsible at all.........the end result has been all too familiar. I'm not talking about conspiracy, I'm talking about history.

worth checking out.

for what it's worth, they kept saying how comfortable they were in those clothes, but then again, it was of course the last week of october.

ok.......

i reeeally really didn't want to post on this thread anymore for reasons previously stated, but in response to your latest batch of "classical sauce" J, I'll add this:

I'm not a tax professional, nor a lawyer, but from what I can see and have discovered thus far, for every time I have seen that exact statement you have just posted, I have seen a direct rebuttle just as many times.

honestly, I've looked into all of this, including the things you just mentioned, and all of them seem to have some grey areas (certainly not excluding what I personally have previously stated), it all depends on the source you are reading it from.

with that said, i regret the tone i have used throughout my last few posts. i can't justify it, but i think it has resulted from my recent pissed off attitude regarding our country and the general flow of money within it. i'm an aggressive poster, but i can admit when i am just typing out of frustration.

I have wiped my hands clean of this topic as a result.

what you have just quoted mentions "tax", but it does not say "income tax", which is a big difference.

also, it says "Congress" has the power to collect taxes. Our United States Congress is not the IRS. The IRS collects taxes, which is a private entity. It is NOT a federal organization, and it is owned by the Federal Reserve, another privately owned company. In other words, the IRS is simply a money collecting agency for the Federal Reserve Bank.

It is not "Congress" you are writing the check out to, but a monopolized corporation.

i have seen interview after interview after interview with ex-IRS agents, who no longer pay their taxes because they researched this over and over and over, that nowhere in our current laws, constitution, whathaveyou, does it say that you are required to pay a federal income tax.

our current tax system is unconstitutional.

i gotta say, sometimes it's just downright scary listening to Ron Paul about the FED. The more I research what the FED, the more unbelievable it seems.

Biggest shocker I''ve read recently about the IRS: Those who refuse to pay their federal income taxes in Utah and go to court for it, are automatically charged "not guilty" because for so long, juries wouldn't find anybody guilty for this, deemingly federal income tax "unconstitutional". So basically, anybody in Utah that decides "I'm not paying my federal income tax", if they're willing to go through the hassle of getting audited, going to court......in the end, they don't end up paying.

It's amazing to read about stuff like that, and even more amazing is the thought that if more people would join together throughout the country and start standing up for their rights, as the constitution was written, real change could occur.

i can't help but wonder what kept Ron Paul from becoming the republican candidate........

"So we should prefer your 'finger in the air' method over any polling data, then?"

uuuhhhmmmm......no buddy. And I'm not suggesting I have a better method for this or am more knowledgable. I'm simply telling you why polls are worthless.

Quote:
Landlines are called also, and many young adults have cell phones only.

it is illegal for a pollster to call a cellphone. the only line they CAN call is a landline. BUT, I'm glad you mentioned this, because it yet again displays how unreliable these polls are.

This fact alone completely alters the demographic of who is participating in these polls.

Quote:
If you dont pay attention to polls, I am not sure how you can know what 'most people' in any particular group are thinking.

Taken from The Associated Press, the last two sentences being of highest importance:

"Q: How can I believe polls when I never get called?

A: Pollsters conduct plenty of telephone interviews, but don't hold your breath. For a typical AP-Ipsos poll, about 1,000 adults are interviewed. The Census Bureau says there are about 228 million adults in the U.S., so the odds of getting one of those calls are one in 228,000. That's about twice as likely as the one in 500,000 odds the National Safety Council says a person has of dying by accidentally falling from a building in a year. Also, remember political polls are not predictions of who will be elected. They are snapshots of sentiment in a long campaign."

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5j2 ... jKzR8x7N96phLg7QD92817400

with that said, consider how polling is actually done. you know as well as I do that presidents are elected when they win the right states, meaning those states with the largest number of electoral votes. is this factored into polling results? are they making more phone calls to California, NJ, Florida, Ohio, etc.?

our voting system itself is corrupt, meaning a poll to predict the results of a corrupt voting system is senseless.

what I was saying was "most of the people that are supporting Obama are supporting him because....."

as far as what the polls say, I have no idea. i hardly ever pay attention to them, they change every day.

"My main concern is that America is SO besotted with "Comrade Obama" at the moment."

let's face it......most people are really supporting Obama because they are terribly afraid of McCain, which would be another 4 years of GWB politics/economics/foreign relations/Iraq War tactics.

i always wondered the heat problem as well. huge clothing, big thick pants, big chunky sneakers/boots (untied).....i sweat just looking at them.

sometimes i simply can't believe how low their pants get. when the shirt comes up and you can see where the underwear starts, there's literally half their a$$ hanging out. how does it stay on? do they have to walk with their legs closer together due to the belt constricting their movement, being it's basically choking the tops of their legs?

they wear their clothing/jewelry in such a way that it basically appears to look like they are trying to wear everything attached to their bodies as loose as possible, without it actually falling off of their bodies. i'm always waiting for a shoe to fall off when i watch them walk, or maybe their necklace getting caught in their shoelaces.

more importantly, where's the practicality.......how can they run from the pOlice ?

funny thing is, white t-shirt and jeans has been in style for years and years, they just choose to wear sizes WAY too big for their bodies. think of James Dean, nearly every photo you see of him is in a white t-shirt and jeans, the Fonz, The Outsiders, etc. Basically everyone in the 50's and 60's that owned a muscle car wore that exact outfit.......only they knew what size to buy........

their laundry loads must be HUGE!

Re: Iraq

Just finished watching a great documentary on the Iraq war titled, "No End In Sight."

great film, very informative.

it's not one of those bogus 2 hour films on conspiracy theories and what if's, it consists mainly of interviews with very very high government officials who were assigned various responsibilities pertaining to the Iraq war, and the movie focuses primarily on the very beginning of the war and the events that occured right after Saddam was overthrown. The facts that are revealed are quite flooring. This film really reveals how America flat out dropped the ball right from the get-go in Iraq, and how at this point, there really is "no end in sight''.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6182969183854471645

you can use this link to watch the movie for free off the internet. i would imagine there are other websites you can do the same, this is the first one i found.

the best way to find out why all these people wear white T-shirts that are 3 sizes to big is to approach somebody wearing a white T-shirt that is 3 sizes to big, and ask, "why do you and your friends wear white T-shirts that are 3 sizes too big?"

for all you posters trying to write something insightful or cultured or knowledgable about the subject, just stop it.

they see the guys on TV wearing it, so they wear it, just like anything else. as for your theories on the origin of the style, whatever, the kids don't care, they just want to look like Jay Z.

i always found it interesting how rappers sing about drive by shootings, pimpin', doing drugs, stealing, and poppin' caps.....and at the same time, these kids dress and immitate them, but cry racism or unlawful profiling when they are harrassed.......

If i wanted a clown for my son's birthday party, i would approach the guy wearing the green wig, purple nose, and big red shoes.

man, this guy was great.

I had the pleasure of seeing him one time in Vegas (maybe 4 years ago), but was surprised at his act. Reason being, he used a notebook. I don't know if it was because he was getting older, he had a bad day, was hungover from the night before, but he had a book of notes he had to continually refer to in order to continue with his act. Strange part was, it wasn't like it was a new act, I had seen basically the same act already on TV quite some time before.

anyway, total bummer. one of the only few famous people willing to speak freely, and that is what made him a good and honest man.

Re: places to go running/jogging?

if safety is a concern, there's always the JC-Hoboken route, but you gotta cross over by way of Observer i guess, so the middle of the run isn't exactly safe.

a great 6 miler (starting from Bright St.) is to run the length of Jersey, cross over the Holland entrance, then take a street north to Observer, head east and run the length of Washington in Hoboken. there's plenty of people on Jersey Ave. and Washington, the only risk like i said is the scary sections in between.

also, once you get into Hoboken, you can take any street really from there and head north, or circle around Frank Sinatra Park. basically any route you take in and around there is safe.

Re: places to go running/jogging?

i could suggest a route of mine, off the top of my head:

run the length of Montgomery heading west, there's the big hill which is great to really open up the lungs, and take it to the end. hang a left and head into Lincoln Park and run along the perimeter back to where you came from, take Montgomery back.

it's basically a crooked lollipop out and back route, but the inclines/declines are cooperative. you start out with the hill, hit a park mid-way to break the monotony (if you have this problem!) and then on the way back, you have an incline leading up to St. Peter's, but a nice cool down going all the way down the hill into downtown. this was always a nice "any day" type route. because the hills are quite long in distance, you can make the run as hard or easy as you want, just by increasing/decreasing your intensity on the hills.

i grew up in the northern part of jersey. there's a rest stop on route 23 going northbound towards Newfoundland. locals referred to this place as "Pickle Park", due to the heavy homosexual activity that went on there.

West Milford police have been going there undercover for years and arresting men for having sex in public. Newark Watershed patrolmen would catch them in the woods nearby the park as well.

just sayin'.
